Also looking for a solution to power my US8-60W which is powering 1 x AC Lite, 1 x Nano HD, 2 x AC In Walls.I'm using the bigger version to power 1x Unifi AP LR via PoE, 1x Hauwei router, and 1x ONT device. I've never put it to the test but I'd wager getting around 8 hours off it.

On the other side of my house I have more Unifi APs, all connected to a Unifi 8-port PoE switch (US-8-60W)... but the problem there is that the switch has a 48v DC input and there's no cheap solution I know of to power it, so that side of my house goes dark.

Any info for 860P would be appreciated as well. The Ratel 8100 how easy/difficult is it to replace the batteries, should this become necessary?
Not sure if I'm completely off the mark but was wondering if something like this would work.. well for the Unifi gear that is...I'm wanting to power a Unifi-8-60 [12W] + 4 PoE Unifi AP's [26W]+ TV [172]+ Soundbar [18W]+ ATV4K [6W]+ DSTV Explora [50W] = 284W
What do the learned MyBB battery fundis think of the all-in-one units such as the Jackery (518Wh), Gizzu (518Wh) or River Max (576Wh)?
Saw the Jackery at Outdoor Warehouse over the weekend and it is tiny (relatively speaking).

Very rough calcs give me just about 1.6 hours of use with the above units (assuming everything is pulling at full load which is unlikely) - I could save some watts by cutting out the soundbar, DSTV (watch Netflix instead) and, since the TV needs an upgrade anyway I could probably get a TV that pulls around 145W bringing the total down to 190W or so for uptime of 2.3 hours. (1.9 / 2.6 hours with the River Max)
Could one put together an equivalent pure Sine Wave Inverter+Battery solution that doesn't cost R8k - 13K and that doesn't look as if it belongs in your workshop - yes, I'm talking about those fugly boxes on wheels sold by various suppliers as load shedding solutions.
With the above requirements could one use a (cheaper) Modified Sine Wave Inverter instead to bring the cost down?
Thoughts?
PS: Seems the Jackery is only rated for 500 cycles which seems rather low - the Gizzu is rated for 1000 cycles and the River Max for 800 cycles.
no. you need 600w in to get 600w out.Not sure if I'm completely off the mark but was wondering if something like this would work.. well for the Unifi gear that is...
(get out your soldering iron's)
600w Step-up Boost power module
+
UltraLAN MUPS60W
+
a DC power cable to go from the Mini UPS into the step up module and then another 1 to go into the US8-60
Perhaps some fundi's here could advise if this would work... willing to try this for my USG-3P, US8-60 and 4 x AP's.
Thanks...maybe I shouldn't post on Monday'sno. you need 600w in to get 600w out.
Unless you were planning to daisy chain those UltraLANs?
If that's even possible.
Was that all it took? The pres just decided. Could've done that ages ago...![]()

Unfortunately I never owned any ratel to open up. I also opened up one of these units Geewiz it has 4 x 18730 LiFeP04 2000mah cells inside running 2s2p. BMS is also on the main board. It kept a ONT and a tenda ac8 on for 3 hours easy we did not test it further since 3 hours was enough.
Also looking for this...Any info for 860P would be appreciated as well.
Possible battery replacement on the following:
RATEL 430M
Micro DC-DC UPS Lithium-ion Battery Bank (4x2200ma Li-Ion) 100~240VAC / 50~60Hz, Max O/P PWR:30W, O/P: USB:5VDC @ 2.0A /10W, 9/12VDC @ 2.0A {186x110x33} 0.43kg
Is it possible/worth it/doable DIY/where to buy or get it done for battery replacement ???
Feels like such a waste to chuck it in a bin.
Yeah, that is beyond my DIY.I replaced the batteries on my Gizzu with Samsung 3000ma batteries. It's been working great for about a year since then. I soldered the wires onto the new cells. Just be VERY careful for short circuits and overheating while doing the job...
But I like to shed some load in the morning (or evening)![]()
