Router Battery Backup

Builders will take your order for the Elecstor I did this Then you hear nothing Unless you call, they will not inform you that the supplier is out of stock It is a hastle to get your money back

I also see they want to get rid of their stock of Ecoflows as well.

You can get the Lava Fusion unit which is the same thing as the Elecstor for a similar price.

For those who can't get Elecstor Titan's or Lava Fusion, there is Solarize, LiFePO with 1,000 claimed cycles, which even Elecstor don't claim.

The Elecstor and Lava has more capacity though. Cycles would only be as good as the warranty that they offer...

Placing one of these or similar in line with your existing mini ups is a quick and easy/cheap way to extend your capacity.

NETOGY Mini 13200mAh:
Great idea

Just thought I'd mention that there's a newer Gizzu 60W model which is 69Wh and unlike the older 65Wh one has moved to LFP cells. Problem is it's hard to find stock as it seems to sell out from Takealot very quickly, mine was R1700 in Feb but for some reason on Takealot they list it at R1100 when it's out of stock. I think there are some at Incredible Connection but they are R1900 there.
After giving it more consideration, I decided to go with the LiFePO4 69Wh version, even though it is more expensive. From what I understand, LFP does more cycles than NMC. Feature wise, the Gizzu is all round the best mini UPS available as far as I know. I do hope updated versions will add USB-C charging and a small screen to display load in real time.

I think I am going to get 2 of these for my CCTV system, run 4 cameras off each.

I also replaced all my cameras today. The new Hilooks (with a wider field of view) claim to use 330mah/4W (probably when IR LEDs are active).

Fitted the 2 Netogy inline UPSs for the 8 cameras, now just the switch and DVR on the Netogy mini UPS. Will have to wait for next 4.5 hour slot tomorrow afternoon to see how it handles it.

You know you can remove the plug from the mains to simulate a loadshedding session. :)

Would you say it makes more sense to get. Lifepo4 dc ups at this juncture? I am looking for one to power a voip fanvil phone (via DC not poe) during loadshedding. As inexpensive as possible. But decent quality that will last.

Thx

I would only get lifepo4 now. It has between 4x and 6x the number of cycles

What is the biggest capacity available. The biggest mamma ups Lifepo4 then? Lol

Thanks all. Is that wibox a decent brand / quality battery?
If you're handy you can make one. I'm not and I made one - works brilliantly too. A few other forumites have as well.
It's just a CCTV power supply with some custom wiring and a couple of voltage regulators (optional - if required).

That said, not sure you'd be able to save much. That looks pretty cheap, given battery prices at the moment.
