I've got a bundle with afrihost (uncapped 1mb internet, they manage the telkom dsl line). Of course I also then have a voice line with Telkom.
The voice line works fine. However, since registering with afrihost almost three months ago, my internet has never worked (!!). After countless calls, and even a telkom technician coming out, they say my router is still not syncing.
But what's strange: a telkom person phoned me now to ask if my service was still down. I told him it was. He then said that he sees that there is data being downloaded on my line (in the order of GBs). I asked him more about this, and he said someone with an MWEB account (he gave me the username) is using my line. I also confirmed he had the right phone number.
I have no idea how this is possible, as there's just me at home. I bought the router and got the phone line installed. The telkom guy also has no idea about how that would work.
What's going on???
