Telkom FUP cap errors

I tweeted them and got asked to DM my number to them for investigation. I sent the tweet on Tuesday, I think, and the response was this morning.
 
I experience the same sh** since beginning of December - and some of my friends as well

We are on 100 GB contract and are charged from Telkom like double to triple amount of data used - running out of data - for me last months meant sitting for more than 10 days without proper internet, because even the top-up website did not work
Called customer care like 5-6 times - no one could help - technical problems

Does anyone has an idea how to stop them cheating us?
 
One guy here had success with twitter. Haven't tried that yet, gonna give it a bash, although I'm sure twitter and facebook gets handled by the same people?

I DM'ed them on Twitter 2 days ago. Got told to send an email with all the test results to TI support at that same email you were given. They also told me that once an incident is logged then I can interact directly with the ISP team.

So at this point I'm lost here since that email of theirs just doesn't work.
 
I have LTE with Telkom, I get 40 gig a month and 20 night data, but apparently this month I have used over 60gigs..? can anyone tell me how this is possible?

last month I used 40 something gigs which also makes no sense.. ?
 
Well... i didn't expect it would be this bad when i created this thread. I was hoping it would be a simple issue to fix...sigh.

In summary it appears that data usage for all Telkom Internet data accounts is measured incorrectly.
The Telkom system counts at least twice more than the actual data usage.
The system then activates the FUP to throttle the user for data abuse.
It is unknown if this was intentional or just stupid...or both.

One person has reported that they managed to get a response by contacting Telkom via twitter, but this means you would need a twitter account...There are no other people who have reported having any form of success.
Imagine all the fun you would have trying to figure this out if you didn't have the saix portal to compare your actual usage to.

I've just hit FUP1 for the first time :o 900gb on the user portal vs 480gb on user stats site.
 
My friends account that was showing the discrepancy between SAIX and the portal is now reading 220Gb on both. It seems Something may have been done about the problem...?

Mine is still showing an 80% discrepancy (compared to 27%, 4%, and 3% over the past few months).
 
Got FUP1 warning last night on my 4mb uncapped line.
SAIX tracker = 108 gigs
Isn't it suppose to be @ 360gig?

Mine is still broken and I'm being unfairly shaped everyday on FUP1. Soon going to reach FUP2. I messaged them on both Twitter and Facebook, it's been a week and still no response. Ffs

Portal: 255gb
That is a 94gb discrepancy.
 
Yep. Mine is showing an average usage of 8gbs a day. I hit the FUP cap in 2 weeks whereas it would normally take a month. I noticed yesterday that the FUP throttling was dropped.

This issue only began when Telkom decided to use one portal for 4mbps and 10mbps users after 4mbps users were upgraded to 10mbps on Openserve fibre.
 
Yes. This. Hope Telkom can find some time to sort it. If I could sort it I would do it for free, for them, bless their hearts )
