Problem: I can't stream off Twitch without it buffering every 3 seconds. Any quality.

They should then also work on Gamers packages as well as Download-ers Packages.. TBH i'd personally like them both in 1 package.

However, honestly - since the beginning of all these issues, i've still been running perfectly (Side note, i got a 1gig trial with AH for my gaming, until the latency issue is resolved) my downloads are scheduled to begin at 23:00 and ends @ 07:00 and then @ 07:05 my PC shuts down until about 12pm when my Mom in law boots up again.

All in all, i get about 10Gigs a night, my sickbeard adds my shows, and by night time when i want to watch, they already updated and everything.... So again, everything is just PEACHY on my side!

:confused:Hi, how do you go about getting this 1 Gb trial and how do you manage to download 10 Gb at night. Am I mistaking things, is it 1 Gb speed?

Well thats what they told me when I ordered. Whether or not they actually do what they say is another story. Is that not how they work there, say one thing but don't follow through with it?

So true..
I will have to wait and see what they say when they call to confirm my cancellation.

Just waiting for Afrihost to announce their new pricing before I cancel Telkom. I'm doing an online course and I can't watch my online lectures. Thanks Telkom, now you're hindering education too!

Its not a case of IF i cancel, its a case of WHEN and who I go with: Afrihost or WebAfrica. No point in asking anybody here who to go for, because you're all obviously still trying to suck the last blood from the Telkom rock. (like me :D )

For the free 1 gig trial from Afrihost have a look here you going to need to send a copy of your ID and some stuff for activation, i mainly just use this 1 gig for my gaming. As for how i get 10gigs a night, im on a 4Meg TI Uncapped account, i schedule my NNTP downloads to start downloading at 23:00 and this runs all through the night and my SABNZB stops downloading at 07:00 the following morning, and most nights i get about +- 10 Gigs depending on how much i have to download that is.

:)thanks very much. I've had the same TI package as you since 1 February and am so peed off that I'm jacking it in and going for an Afrihost package. Try a moderate capped account for starters, then if I'm happy I'll upgrade.

Down loaded a driver from AMD this morning before I left home at 425kbps...

Hope it stays that way. Last week got about 50kbps from the same site.

Just gotten my invoice, R432.47... They've either cancelled my account or credited me (10MB)

I'm down to R661.00, but I think I should have been even lower.

Edit:

I see they implemented all my changes, but my Uncapped packages is still there till the 11 March.

Also the 25% discount they offered on my ADSL line also not factored in.

If you cancel the ISP portion you no longer qualify for the discoutn as far as I'm aware, it's on the bundle.

They offered it though and I made sure that it is on the line portion. I've got a telephone recording of the conversation.

I'm not disputing what you are saying, but it was offered on the line after she tried to convince me that I was throttled because of high usage.

I pointed out that I did about 80GB on a 4 Mbps line that she was talking bull****.

Then she saw that I already had my new ISP details in my router and then asked if I would accept 25% discount on the line portion with 1 year contract. I never planned to move the line away from Telkom, so I said yes.

So it is not a big issue for me.

Been running like a dream since yesterday's change they made at the Dslam
