Power tripped and my modem is flickering red and green. .. dsl2750u. Can anyone help?
 
I have a problem with my line,currently on a 4Mbps line but my router give me a attainable rate of only 2550? not 4096 it used to. I did log a fault with telkom,tech came out and assured that it will be fixed.........ai,still same problem. I even phoned 10210 so that they could recreate my port. Still no success.

I thought that my router might be the cause,it at my friend that stays 2 houses from me and perfect,no problems so now i dont know what to do, any advice? or should i just cancel due to bad service because i have reported this on more than one occasion.....
 
Do i have to call though? I reset this thing for the 5th time now., switched it on and off and still nothing.

I haven't tried it yet but you can log onto the telkomsa.net site and change your prioritization.

Technician left the box open at the back of our house after installing landline weeks ago. Said he was coming back but never. Surely this ain't good for the equipment? And I'm still stuck here waiting for any working DSL line, almost 50 days after ordering.

Turns out that the power trip reset all my settings on the router to the default settings.
Had to input my Telkom account details again.

I'm in the same boat as you. I constantly have problems with my Telkom ADSL Internet with slow speeds and/or connection issues. It takes forever to get hold of anyone at Telkom and when I finally do it takes their "technicians" forever to come out and investigate the problem, and when they finally do they can't seem to find the problem. So, I am now completely fed up with Telkom. I'm sick and tired of this garbage service. We pay through the nose for Telkom's service and this is what we get. Next month I'm going to cancel both my ADSL Internet as well as my phone line, and I'm going to tell them they can stick their ADSL service and phone line where the sun don't shine. As soon as the new year starts I'm switching over to wireless Internet. And I will not be using Telkom as my ISP.
 
Cannot believe this. Telkom did a modification on my Port, which I didn't ask for as my line was working fine. 15 hours later, I'm sitting with no connectivity, and Telkom has virtually now made it my problem. I'm pretty much annoyed at this.

Your luck with telkom doesn't seem to be so good :(

This is just unacceptable. I reported a fault on my line over a week ago and I'm still waiting for the supposed technician to come out and have a look. :mad:
