The 2018 Weight Loss Thread

My winter of excess is at an end. Got a red heart score. Much more strict and walking. Here’s hoping for improvement.

Still around 93kg but with all the alcohol and sweetmeats over Diwali I’ve gained a bit of bulk round my midriff. Shirts are getting too tight .. very depressing

I've dropped 10kg in 3 1/2 weeks. Low carb with 24hr fasts 5 times a week. Been really easy because I have been so busy at work

Im late to the party but great to see this thread:

- Age: 34
- Male
- Height: 1.84m
- Method of Weightloss: weight training, cardio and calorie restriction using high protein, medium carbs, low fat
- Highest Weight Ever: 146KG
- Weight at sign-up: 124KG
- Goal Weight: 100KG

Im down 20KG so far for the year. I have tried all types of diets: keto, banting, anabolic(Cyclical keto diet), bodybuilding (40/40/20 macro split) and intermittent fasting in years past. They all worked but unfortunately keto style diets drop too much water in my body and dehydrates me. Also high amounts of saturated fat wasnt great for my health in terms of cholesterol, etc.
I decided to go to a dietician and she was impressed with what I was eating but I was eating double of what I should be eating so her help with portion control set me on a better path.
Im really enjoying training again after not training for about 10 years. I think i carried my old eating style over to my sedentary lifestyle which wasn't great and has caught up with me.
Unfortunately I have high blood pressure which I have found to be heavily affected by my diet and sleep. Just a single night out of 2 beers and rich food is enough to set my blood pressure off.
As soon as I am back on my clean food then I am at normal blood pressure.

@Fcon_Vpro Welcome, and it's never too late.

Hit 91kg last week folks, don't think I'll make the 90kg prior to surgery but my weight is stabilizing nicely now.

Was on 124.65 kg this morning which I suspect will be my lowest weight for this year, I’ll be going on holiday Friday and have a couple of year end functions coming up this week.
This has been a year of trial and error, but I think I found my thing in the last two months or so, so next year I’ll be going hard at low carb plus intermittent fasting right from the start.

I know I didn't sign up in the beginning

I've lost since around May - 16.5kg
3.5 to go and I'll be the same weight I was when I was 30, although I'm already fitting into those clothes

Optifast ftw :) :)

Managed to get down to 91 prior to surgery, been lying around for a week now, still healing up but eating quite low. Keep going folks, get those summer workouts, besttime to lose weight with the heat.

How about the FANtasticly DRY 2019 Weight Loss Thread

So my goal for 2018 was to lose 20kgs. Got on the scale today knowing December had been bad. Of my 2018 goal, only 35kgs to go. And sadly that is no joke.

FFS up 15kg from Jan last year. Time for some serious rethink and action.

We can only try harder
