The Ethereum Thread

When converting ethereum to FIAT, I believe luno doesnt have a trading platform for ethereum and you either need to convert to bitcoin first or select the instant withdrawal? What are the fees involved and is that the most cost efficient method? Trying to make a comparison with altcointrader which im using at the moment.

Covert to BTC first. I don't trust the ETH buy/sell at all. Not after Luno ripped me for R7k on a buy.

I have just completed the transfer of all ETH from Luno to AltCoinTrader.

@schumi
Price on the quick sell page now shows R19 723, but when I hit sell, it shows me that 1 ETH will get me R19 243.
That sound right???

Yes. As far as I can establish the ETH price shown by Luno is the half-way point between what you can sell at and what you buy at, with the sell (buy) price always being lower (higher) than the displayed price.

Looking at the comparison of ETH and Bitcoin, the graphs seem to be almost opposite.
one goes up, the other goes down.
So may be a silly question , but is the the "trick" to switch from one crypto to another to profit ( after doing some research ) ?
Just trying to figure it all out after buying a few ETH to start

You could but you could also end up switching and catching the downswings instead of the upswings each time. So you could end up losing more.

Anyone here still using ice3x? I need to buy and send ETH or BTC to another exchange. Which route would be faster?

I have a verified account there, but I'm not using them. I sent via Luno to Binance, sometimes it's a few minutes, other times a few hours.
