Awesome!I'm going to start growing again.
I tried to trip this weekend - took 4.3g of my shrooms, the ones that I grew last year. But I barely felt anything - probably the equivalent of 1g. They lost a LOT of potency in storage. I don't think I stored them properly - I think for this next batch, I'll investigate better storage methods. I don't think I sealed them well enough against the elements.
Might also put them in the freezer.
I might also grow in compost and not coir. Or at least, I'll run some trials. I saw a poster on shroomery that said he noticed a dramatic difference using compost instead of coir. I'll have some jars with coir and some with compost.
****. Mine are just stored in the plastic resealable they came in. Hope they haven't lost too much potency. Last time around 4g gave me such an awesome trip.I'm going to start growing again.

Awesome!
Experienced the same after buying a large batch and keeping them in their brown paper bag in a drawer. Oh well. Please let us know what you find is best.
Also a link to Shroomery and compost would be great!
May I ask why CBD?Just asking because I want to order some shrooms and some CBD bud, but Kingkushie is out of the 'Charlottes Angel' strain and the Dr. only has low CBD strains. Unfortunately, not many people sell high CBD strains.
I'll just have to be patient.
Fair enough. I've found CBD to be somewhat overrated in its efficacy, but agree it can help with some things. It is for arthritis, although THC is a better painkiller/anti-inflammatory CBD does not make you 'high'. I don't really enjoy being high, it can become a bit oppressive.

Ideally you don't want to go over 40 to 60 degrees when drying. I slow dry mine in a wine box with holes (cardboard wine bottle box). 40 to 60 degrees usually takes around 6 to 8 hours in an air fryer. Slow drying takes around a week for smaller mushrooms. Slow drying whole large mushrooms is a bit risky as you leave them exposed to contamination. If you can split them, then do.Hey all. New domestic mycology student on the block.
Quick question, to dry your harvest, without the more costly dehydrators on the market, any suggestions. I am currently repurposing my biltong box with a 40W halogen light with fan going. Still takes a few days to get cracking dry.
Also, are mushrooms dried whole generally, or are the larger, more fleshy ones split to dry faster?
