The weight loss thread

Checking in for 2025. Weighed in first time this year and it is 89.1 so just shy of 1 kg increase in 1 month of holiday. Not too shabby. On an average, I clocked 8.5K steps every day on an average so that helped not to balloon it further.

Target is 78kg by end of the year. Let us see.
Back to 87.3 - recovered from holiday weight gain.

OVERALL STATS:
Start 2023: 106.5 kg
Start 2024: 81.3 kg
End Jan: 80.8 kg (-0.5 kg)
End Feb: 79.6 kg (-1.2 kg)
End March: 78.3 kg (-1.3 kg) [New scale]
End April: 76.75 kg (-1.55 kg)
End May: 74.70 kg (-1.80 kg)
End June: 74.60 kg (-0.10 kg)
End July: 73.60 kg (-1.0 kg)
End August: 72.95 kg (-0.65 kg)
End September: 72.75 kg (-0.2 kg)
End October: 73.35 (+0.6)
End November: 70.45 (-2.9)
End December: 73.55 (+3.1)

All the Christmas carbs came with a hefty helping of added water weight. Should hopefully improve once I'm back at work from tomorrow and more active again.
That’s pretty good. By 2030, you should be under 20kg.

A month on the Carnivore diet and 2.8kgs down.
Well done, what is target weight ? I could achieve such loss only during first 2 months of weight loss and then it was no more than 1kg/month. Close to 3kg is really an achievement though. Lots of discipline needed.

72kg is the target.

I'm climbing back in and back on track, learning what works and what doesn't...lowest weight I'm about 10 years now.

When I started the wegovy last year, 123kg-ish.highest ever was about 126 I guess.

2/2/2025: 108.9

14kg weight loss in a year is fantastic achievement. Well done.

You should congratulate wegovy;)
Heh. wegovy could be just minor contributing factor. It would need disciplined diet & exercise to make it work. You can't just chow food like there is no tomorrow and expect any drug to work, no matter how expensive.

It's a major contributing factor.

There's exercise and diet as well but the weight just wasn't shifting. Wegovy tipped the balance. But yes I do need to be disciplined with what I eat. The wegovy makes that easier as well, not least of which is thinking of the monthly expense when I want to snack

It works because you don't chow food, You don't need to be disciplined really as the drug helps with that.

lost 30kg in about 8 months. prob be more but I booze sometimes
