U2 brings Computicket website down

tried the whole morning, could not get the online system to work. went to checkers but the line was very long. After a lot of refreshing finally got my tickets ,well I hope so at least. Money has been deducted from the bank and received confirmation as well .

But can never be sure about computicket
 
Went to Westage Mall at 9am. bought tickets. No queues. 5min later, left.

Considering the fact that Computicket where the worlds first online ticket sale system and also the largest for many years.

I wish that they would understand that nobody gives a damn when their website is more broken than Vista.

Despite all their assurance, it was clearly going to be a screw-up. It happens all the time with Computicket. Even a Currie Cup semi-final makes their system awful.

Shame.....but they put on an awesome show whether you like them or not. Sad how some people have an intolerance for other peoples music or likes.

If anything they under rated. They could quite possibly be the greatest rock band of all time...
 
I am still faffing around online trying to get lucky... I am dreading having to go stand in a queue!!! Typical SA... nothing ever works as advertised.... tsk tsk tsk...
 
U2 is a great band - love them really, but with a gajillion other people? I'll get the dvd...

Also:

Computicket is terrible. Why they don't invest in more capacity I don't understand. This is the same old story with every big concert and every big sport event. Pretty much any kind of significant event at all.
 
**** Big Concerts and Computicket, there's no way they're getting my money. Also, I've never understood why you have to pay a booking fee when you buy tickets online, but you don't when you go in person to a Computicket counter. Surely it costs more to employ some brainless idiot at the counter than it does to sell tickets online? What a rip-off.
 
Still unsure if I want to see them. I have never really been into their music, guess I am a bit young, but they are one of the greatest rock bands of all time and they not going to do too many tours of South Africa in the near future. At least I can bypass Computicket to a degree, my fathers colleague at his firm does all of Big Concerts work so if/when I need I go direct.
 
Yea as people mentioned, this is not U2, this is all computicket. Their site goes down for EVERY SINGLE LARGE EVENT. Rugby matches, cricket matches , you name it, it goes down. Their site is absolutely useless, everytime i am forced to go to a physical location to buy tickets, right now this is handled by Checkers, who are JUST AS USELESS . Last time, they print misprint the barcodes on the tickets and we get to the match and can't get in...you could clearly the barcode was cut off [something you don't normally look for when you buy tickets].

Anyway...computicket needs to shape up, just pathetic business to be honest.
 
I dunno. I have to agree with quite a few things being pointed out here.

Surely online ticketing in 2010 has been mastered? Weird!!
If their CFO knew this would happen then why did it still happen? Weird!!
 
Maybe costs are too high, maybe they don’t care since tickets get sold anyway, maybe they don’t feel a high percentage of their users have the internet, who knows. I see Computicket lost sales of cricket SA tickets to www01.ticketpros.co.za
 
I went to the computicket at the house and home in boksburg. Took about 30 mins and I got my tickets :)

I didn't even bother with the website, its a massive fail...
