U2 brings Computicket website down

Honestly, I enjoy their older stuff more than the new, these days I listen to bands like Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace etc.
I missed popmart because I thought R400 or whatever is was, was too much. I regretted it, because I don't think any other band has a bigger, better live set. Besides, got bonus this month, so it's as good a thing as any to spend some of it on.
 
Looks like I'm going to have to miss this one :cry: the missus ain't interested.

Computicket is terrible. Why they don't invest in more capacity I don't understand. This is the same old story with every big concert and every big sport event. Pretty much any kind of significant event at all.

Shoprite owns Computicket - they purchased it from one of Naspers subsidiaries during 2006.

sad to see how ppl can be intolerant for other peoples choice of music. I enjoy their music and looking forward to their concert next year. i'm sure when your fav artist or band rocks up in SA you will be over the moon. i'm embracing this happy moment and not allowing anything or any1 to take it away from me, not even U2 haters. And thats the bottom line. Arrive. Raise Hell. Leave
 
The Computicket website has been showing its age for yonks now...
 
Getting my tickets were a breeze, walked up to the shoprite counter at 9am, booked my tickets and left at 09h05. I chose a shoprite where i knew there wouldnt be queues. I wasn't gonna be a wiitard and try online. This happens all the time and ppl know it, I think ppl try to buy online so they can b!tch and moan about it afterwards.

Does anyone know if the concert is sold out? I bought some extra's for the CT show to make a buck. Block 204, i have 2 tickets left.
 
Got my 8 tickets on the computicket mobile website at 9am on Sat :)

According to Big Concerts on Facebook:

All standing tickets are sold out, only seated ones left. 92% sold out in Cape Town and 78% of tickets sold out in Joburg after just one weekend. Hurry, and get some tickets while you still can.

I went to Hyper on Saturday morning - told me that standing tickets were all sold out. Then tried for the hell of it and actually managed to buy them online this afternoon. I tried it again to see if it was a fluke - but standing tickets still available. BIG CONCERTS + COMPUTICKET = MAJOR FAIL.
