Still throttled.

You have used 42.55 GB so far this month.

Last Session: 15 November, 2013, 03:11:00

Connection status: Throttled

Your total usage for the past 30 days: 123.31 GB

The great iOS7 upgrade and steam has really taken it's toll.

1 Mb account I'm assuming. How many days have you been throttled for?

My Story
What I noticed with Torrents.
Weekdays: crawling up to 00:00 till 07:00 flying.
Weekends: Friday 19:00 till Monday morning 07:00 flying.
By flying mostly full speed.
Any non-torrents download average speed.

Torrents are overall slow even in off peak times I find. That's just Mweb's network that doesn't tolerate p2p very well unfortunately. Gaming is no go with premium uncapped as well which is very disappointing

Usage this month: 175GB
status: throttled
Usage in last 30 days: 205GB

I'm on uncapped "premium" 2MB. Although I'm not quite sure why I've bothered to be on "premium". I'm checking out... Today!

Why don't they just call it what it is? A soft capped adsl product - it functions like uncapped but once you reach a certain threshold, mweb will resort to name calling "abusers", and then throttle the cr@p out of your line. They will also make strong reference to an archaic tablet (aka AUP) brought down from mountains by their CEO.
:)

So it doesn't seem like being premium or not makes any difference to your threshold?

Which is kind of puzzling. Does the "premium" then just affect shaping perhaps?

It's all a marketing scheme to keep MWEB just a float but they will sink soon, the CEO has to go ASAP.

Sorry dude. That is not cool, I got throttled on like 120 GB's a month ago and the line is practically useless enough for you to leave the ISP altogether. I think you made a good move, good luck with your next ISP. :)
