Vista Problems

Hi I do not know if this is the correct place to post this but I need help. When I download something in Windows Vista (right click save target as) the file just stops downloading sometimes it's halfway sometimes not even a few kb's. I formated the machine and put on XP it downloaded fine, but my laptop drivers is for Vista so reinstalled Vista, now I have the problem again and it is a @#$%^&* frustration.

What can I do, I use an adsl connection.

So, let me get this straight.

When you on VISTA, and you try to download something, it randomly stops downloading?

Is that the problem?
 
Future note: "Vista" is synonymous with "Problems", so in future just name your thread "Vista", we'll know that there's an issue with it :D

My suggestion? Install Linux, or go back to XP.

Yeah...considering I haven't had a days problem on Vista since January 2007 - Now, on XP, I needed to restart daily....
 
jacoh, I can't help much with vista, all that had to be said is said above; but with XP and your laptop, check the manufacturers website and download the drivers for XP. That is a workaround.
