Weight Loss Thread 2014

Had a good week. Lost the 1.1kg I had picked up at last weekends camping trip... And a further 1.8kg! I am now down 2.9kg.

Managed to do a 64 min 10km run this morning.

Well the cm's mostly stayed the same, only area that dropped was about 5cm from each bicep. Did have about 3.something kg's drop off though so it wasn't a terrible week. I'll be cutting the dairy more this week (will replace with more avo and broccoli) and going from 50g of carbs per day to 20g.

Exercise is being upped every few days quite easily so obviously fitness is increasing.

Okay took my measurements this morning at the gym's tracker:

Mon Jan 27, 2014 at 6:12 am 89 kg Tracker
Mon Jan 27, 2014 at 6:13 am 17.4 % Tracker
Mon Jan 27, 2014 at 6:14 am 134/63 mmHg Tracker

Not 100% about the weight though the scale in the bathroom had me at 88.2 (just boxer and the one at the tracker had me in shorts and a shirt) but in any case those are the scores.

So I dunno what to make if it any more. I faltered once this weekend when my house mate walked by me with a steaming lamb breyani. I had 3 forks full and now I picked up 2 kgs on my Monday weigh in but I'm 2cm down on my waist measurement. :wtf: WTF! I feel like crying.

Anyway it's a new week. :(

Question: Do biokenetisists do body fat measurements with the calipers? I did a test on the machine at VA over the weekend and I have more fat now then what I had when I was 10kg heavier, so I am sure that machine is screwy.

I would really like to know what my fat% is so I can really know what I am loosing because the scale is driving me nuts.

Machine measurements are total rubbish.

You can have an assessment done by the in-house physio / nutritionist at the VA. 7 point caliper reading is pretty damn accurate if the person taking the measurement knows what he is doing.

Ignore the scale weight. Will drive you crazy chasing drops. Rather focus on physical changes.

My weekend was an absolute total disaster. I ended up spending the entire weekend out and consumed a **** load of alcohol. I think I'm too dehydrated to take a proper measurement this week.

I had a glorious, glorious off day on Saturday, back on the diet since yesterday. Only thing I didn't have which I wanted was milk tart from Woolies :(

Anyone have a low carb recipe for a cheese sauce?

Shouldn't be too difficult. Instead of making a roux, reduce some cream, add in cheese and other flavours, maybe some paprika/Worstershire/salt/mustard.

Seems like a common trend...lose lots of weight to start...then it slows. BUT, you see the CM's keep falling. I recon as long as either one (weight or CM's) drop...it's all good?

I've been eating olives as a snack... Not sure if its good or bad but they taste delicious :D

I eat them by the bucket load. Just read the bottle to make sure they weren't pickled in sugar or something dumb.

I cured them myself, so know exactly what I put in :o
I'm definitely going to get another bucket when the opportunity comes around again :D
Anyway, they work out better for me than snacking on fruit.
