Whey - "increase fitness levels and accelerate muscle development" - I like the increased fitness levels but a bit wary of accelerated muscle development with weight still to lose.
Blah blah marketing speak. You won't be taking whey protein one week and have muscles the next. Whey protein - concentrate, hydrolyzed etc. just breaks down a lot faster into the amino acids and basic building blocks for muscular development.
You still have to exercise and eat right to build muscle. Also, even if you have FAT to lose, why would building muscle be a problem? Muscle drives the body to use fat stores and use up calories. The more muscle you have, the more calories you incinerate. Perfect synergistic relationship. And yes, it is possible to build muscle while torching fat - your training and diet just needs to be in check. (An overly simplistic explanation)![]()

I doubt that I will be following the diet and training routines to the T, I'll take what I want from them and incorporate it into what I am already doing or planning on doing. I have for the last week or so, already cut out most carbs, sugar and processed foods - and increased my fat intake. They generally follow paleo, which as far as I know is loosely based on LCHF anyway.
I just find some of the SleekGeek transformations amazing - sometimes unbelievable what can be achieved in 8 short weeks.
Did you do the 4 week REBOOT program? What kind of exercise routine where you doing?
Weigh in today, 82.3kg, dropped 1kg since last week TuesBanting is working out great for me, think training for Two Oceans helps shedding weight too though.
Quick question...not a fan of meat fat, cant stand the texture. What are other high fat foods that can be eaten on the Banting eating plan? I know Macadamia nuts are high fat, so are avo's (trying to find decent avo's is quite a mission and hella expensive too). Any recommendations for high fat foods?
Hehe, didn't really do much exercise.
If you're impressed with the SleekGeek transformations, you should also check out the 21 day Primal Blueprint Challenge and also The Burn The Fat Challenge transformations.
Thanks Randhir. Like my meat cooked medium rare...but will see what I can do with the fat part, and maybe cook that part on its side.![]()

Interesting product, used to treat epilepsy and other ailments.
Wondering if it could be used as a meal replacement for people doing Keto/LCHF plans.
I am so far behind with this![]()
