Weight Loss Thread 2014

Sweet Potatoes(patats) are good, right? Having some with a decent piece of rib eye steak tonight.

Try and avoid cheese for your "good fat" intake. You could use feta, or specific cream cheeses, but that falls more under the protein portion and not the fat portion.

I would die without my cheese esp blue cheese

Nope, basic rules for veg is green leafy veg and anything else that grows above ground

Oh crap. There goes half our menu for the week.

Back to the drawing board.

Seriously need to get my hands on that revolution book so that I can educate myself.

And this is why I don't follow this lchf plan that closely.

Yes, sweet potato is a carb, but it's a damn great carb loaded with vitamins, minerals, anti oxidants and more goodness.

I rather limit and control my carb intake to specific types and times of day. Still getting great results.

But as we all know, many ways to skin a kat. Hehe.

For the past two days I have had chicken for lunch and some of the egg muffins with mushroom and onion filling.

Still struggling with the lunch thing. I used to grab take-aways almost every day.

Is chicken with the skin on acceptable? Like the roasted chickens from Woolies or Spar.

Nothing wrong with chicken skin

I have baked sweet potato on rare occasions - in small quantities, and I watch my other carbs for the day.
Pumpkin is also much lower than butternut, again just watch how much.
