Isnt WP8 backwards compatible with WP7 apps?

Seems like its just their mobile site turned into a so called "app".

"Does *beep* cellular network provider offer an app to check my balance or buy airtime? Didn't think so Steve, so I left *beep* network and joined Vodacom". :D

One question, can you buy data if you don't have data?

Well if you buying data you would need to have an airtime balance, so you will still have internet access with no data bundle active :D

Well done V'com, now plz release the widget for the Android devices, that way you will not have to log in to check your balance. a nice neat 4X2 indicating your various free minute, SMS's and Data. :D Android FTW :D

The app is a free download, but Vodacom warns that downloading and using the app will consume data which will be charged at standard data rates.

Hehe, that is quite funny :)

And sad.

Why no iOS app? The old one no working any more!

Not sure what you mean.

iOS app is working just fine.

And for the eagle-eyes, I have another phone with Vodacom SIM that I would like to keep tabs on, hence the 8ta network indicator.

No, seems you basically recompile foe WP8. done and submitted, should be up soon.

Keeping the look and feel the same as .mobi was intentional.

Jees, what a k@k app.
With the money these guys make I'd expect something that can show you a full call log etc. with widget support and the works. This is just a tiny little UI for their usual crap website info.
