Hi folks
I realise it may be seriously uncool to even suggest bringing in an outsider and not running this as a DIY project, but I lack the time, the patience, the practical know-how and quite possibly the skill.
I need to get a home LAN set-up. Medium-sized house - but loads of concrete...
I'm moving to a new home and I'm designing a LAN so that I can connect all my devices to the Internet and each other. I have in the past used ethernet over power as well as Wifi and found both to be less than ideal.
I thought of running cat6 to all the rooms through the same conduit as the...

Hey guys.
Since the fall of Liberty LAN and Organised Chaos, the LAN scene has been a bit dark and lonely.
So I decided to make this thread for anyone to post info about LANs that are taking place in your area! Doesn't matter where you are in SA and it doesn't matter what platform. If you're...
No Internet? We’ll just LAN
Young Cubans may be cut off from the Internet, but they have quietly linked thousands of computers into a hidden network that stretches miles across Havana
Hey all,
Hope someone can help me as I have been battling with this for a few months and I'm really at my wits end.

Any ideas - Cat5 cable is out, as we have HEAVY...
I hope someone can help me with this.

Hey,
I'm planning on hosting a LAN party at my school with about 50 students. All the facilities have been organized but our IT department is not prepared to disassemble the network for a single night. We therefore need to hire networking equipment. Any suggestions?
I connected my two computers. Both runs on Windows 7 ultimate. I connected via the Ethernet Cable. I did all the steps. Set the ips. My pcs both came out on the network. But I can't access any files. Its says it protected. I don't have access. Why???
Hey, was thinking of having a LAN party with a couple of friends... but all the classic are getting quite old... so I was wondering if there are any new PC LAN-able games that I didn't know about?

My friends and I would like to start a wireless network/LAN
We are about 4/5 dudes.
Most of us live in a 1.5km radius, 1 in about +-3km
Main reason for the wireless network is gaming, most don't have ADSL
What hardware would we need, and what would the cost per person be?
thnx
So. I've been gaming online, with my 3G, and getting good, very good ping (10-30ms), in European servers, because I'm using a 'DE service provider.'
Anyways, I've seen many many customisation of stuff, and are interesting.
What I'm interested in is how you do them? Specifically where you...
