To be honest i really only wanted to use the router for my playstation, the problem i have is that i cant connect to the playstation network through the router. NO CLUE WHY but it is really annoying :) until i get that to work i wont have much use for the router. what i have noticed tho is that it takes along time to connect once i plug in the usb modem. other than that i havent had an issue with diconnection or unplugged, i will keep you guys posted tho. what antenna are you using? i am looking into getting one.

I'm Looking at getting the Cell C 21.6Mbps Speedstick for R299pm to be used with a Billion BiPAC 7402GX for a Backup to ADSL Down time...
According to the list these two should be fine ?

Huawei
E1820 (Black) DL: 21.6 Mbps / UL: 5.76 Mbps
ZTE
MF668 (Black) DL: 21.6 Mbps / UL: 5.76Mbps

I can hold on a bit, but can you let me know if this is what is coming? I'd like to use my existing CellC black stick, or at least use its SIM card at the same speed and cost per GB. It only needs to connect 2 or 3 WiFi devices, no wired Ethernet.

Would this device be able to work without the stick, i.e. if i need to connect 2 WiFi devices to each other? At least I would like to make sure I am not using my CellC bandwidth when all I need is for the 2 devices to talk to each other. (I.e. it is a standard router, not just a WiFi hotspot.)

yes it is compatible with you current sim, you dont need the stick, and the cost will be the same as using the stick,
i.e.. 2g or 5g still apply in router

Is this MiFi router available now or is it still to be released?
 
I see this new router / modem does not have "WIRELESS "N" ?

Isn't the "N" the fatest speeds compared to "G" ?

I'm using the Billion 7402NX with the Vodafone 4505Z which is apparently the same as the MF668, and it all works fine.

Will it be available from all Cell C dealers? Is it safe to assume it will be available any day now? I can't wait to try it... I'm developing an app that needs this type of device - is there any way I can jump the queue? :) Get a discount? :D

Yes will be available from all Cell C stores
will be soon lol, lets say next week all find out a almost to the dot time and date ;)
will find out if will be some sort of % for my MBB peeps lol

True N is faster then G,
but for what this is made for G is fast,
remember this most of the time will be right next to you

@Cell_C do you know if there will be another ethernet based router with wireless capabilities and if so when will it be available? I had a Cell C D105 router and that router worked perfectly but can't find stock of those devices at any of the Cell C stores.

Finally ditched the Vodacom 3g and joining the Cell C movement this afternoon. Then to get a router! If i can only decide which one.
