Afrihost ADSL price cuts and improved uncapped performance

Afrihost added that their uncapped DSL clients will also have extra capacity sent their way, which the ISP said “will mean that the best uncapped experience in the market will get even better”.

“A planned 21% upgrade on Afrihost’s network capacity, with capacity already added in the Northern region and more expected in the Southern and Eastern regions, will mean uncapped clients can expect less shaping on their non-real-time protocols,” Afrihost said.

Nice. My uncapped performance has been quite decent for a while now, so I'm happy.
 
This is exactly why AfriHost is the market leader and will stay like that for some time to come

We will implement the capacity changes soon. As we say on the press release, the upgrades will be coming soon.
 
Shaping Policy: 25% Download/ 12.5% P2P

I've done 35Gb on my 1Mb uncapped account so far for March, maybe I should switch to the capped 50 + 50Gb seeing as I will get full line speeds and still have enough data to burn?

Don't know if troll or serious... Uncapped doesnt get you cut off and there's no download limit but you get shaped/throttled depending on ISP. Capped is a limited amount of data at full speed all the time.

Hi

Capped DSL is the data only and Capped Bundles are the data and the DSL line for one price.

Hi Afrihost

Is there absolutely nothing for bundled clients? I have a bundled 10MB line with 50GB data? Seems I am losing out more by having a bundle than not.

Yo, the dude asked difference between "capped and capped bundle". I think "capped bundle" you buy the data as well as the DSL line together. @Corbin, does this help? http://www.afrihost.com/site/product/capped_dsl_bundles

Yes im serious but i wanted to know diff between capped packages ... not uncapped.
Thanx for the clear up Afrigirl ... just signed up for the bundle few days ago . eish

Not yet. But changes are coming to the bundles. For now, we are doing the double data promotion on the DSL only but we are in the process of changing the bundle packages on our end, once we are done, we will announce the changes.
