Afrihost MTN Fixed LTE-A Thread

Ticket response:

"Thank you for contacting our client support.

The website states that "If you reach your cap, it’s easy to top up! Plus topup data lasts for 30 days!" however the anytime and night Time data will roll over for 30 days.

We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences caused.

I am at your disposal should you need assistance with anything else."

How on earth do they think that addresses the issue?

Ticket response:

"/snip kak."

I deeply doubt wonder if any of those support agents actually read anything we write.
Canned responses. Str8 from a PnP blue label tuna tin,

which package you on? seems as if the 30GB and 60GB dont roll over

So it seems one has to beg for it, instead of it happening automatically.
No thank you. Bloody cheek

It's on their site in black and white , that it rolls over. @AfriMan ?

The rules are different depending on the provider. As far as I know MTN (Pure LTE) is the only one where night and anytime data will rollover. For RAIN and Telkom, only anytime (day) data rolls over.

Cell C didn't expire, but that will only affect those people still on Cell C for the next month or so.

@AfriMan - seems like the data from November has not rolled over. This is contrary to what is stated on the Afrihost website:

"Pure LTE (MTN)

Yes, Anytime and Night Time data will roll over for 30 days."

Please could this urgently be addressed.

Just send me your details and I'll get that done for you :(

Anyone know if the MTN provisioning issue has been resolved with Afrihost? I'm with Axxess and been waiting a week now for feedback, they just say it's an MTN issue. Cell C is now switched off, so sitting with no Internet at home. Afrihost if yours work I'm switching now!

I've sort of won a small battle with Axxess at least - got them to cancel effectively end of November. :)

Anyone experience problems keeping an L2TP tunnel up over MTN/Afrihost fixed LTE? I'm testing the solution at some stores in Mall of Africa. The tunnel dials but drops after about 40 secondes. @AfriGenie @Afrigirl @AfriGuy ?

I guess i'm getting fairly close to practical max speed on a physical LTE-A device some distance from tower....
would like to hit 100Mbps just for the record.

RSRQ:-6dB
RSRP:-87dBm
SINR:20dB

Run at 05:10
