Same here feb up with this doing ping and tracert shows connection full bars but no connection on my phone or pc

Just curious - the biggest package is 150GB + 150GB, but there is nothing above this - why?

when gaming on EU servers there seems to be multiple packet drops (between 15% to 25%), and its definitely only the MTN Fixed LTE. I've tested access to the same servers with my ADSL and telkom LTE and its perfect. There seems to be a routing issue somewhere that needs to be looked at, I've seen people complain on facebook and on this thread, so im definitely not the only one. @AfriMan
Routing wise it still goes over the Afrihost network. I would suggest using Cloudflare warp vpn on pc with Wireguard. Solves most routing issues on any isp.
What about lag and speed?
Did you make any changes like moving the router to a new location or using the SIM in a different device?

It's the closest tower that is available to the address you entered for coverage check.
How were you planning to optimize the connection? Just so I can understand what information you would need.
For the moment we are sticking to the packages that are available in the market and similar to what we already offer. We are considering some other packages for the future.

As far as I know it's not a general issue, so I will need to get more info here. Can you show me where you are seeing packet loss on a test that I can replicate?

There is no towers indicated on the coverage map.
I played around on Monday with the B618's position and it made quite a difference where the B618 was in the house.
So for people that are not so clued up with tech or don't have the time to experiment it could be a big help to know the direction and distance of the tower to improve their experience of the product.
I see what you mean. Sadly MTN are pretty cagey about releasing that information, so haven't thus far been able to get a tower location map. I guess the best way will be to eyeball it by moving your router around the house.

I know where the tower is, that is why I played with the position to see if it make a difference and it does. Up to 30Mb/s in my house.
I guess knowing where the tower is might help a bit, but signal is a funny thing. Sometimes the shape of the walls, terrain, might give you different results. Trial and error is the best way.

Have been working with data over radio signals since beginning of the 90's and direct LOS always wins.
Would be great to know the primary tower you are locked to and also the secondary tower. In my situation I am exactly between 2 towers and signal changes based on direction wind blows. Thus i've been forced to use external directional antenna to lock to one tower so as not to get blocked. Would be great to not have to constantly worry its going to switch to another tower and get blocked.
According to AH T&C:
MTN FIXED WIRELESS SERVICES, ONCE ACTIVATED, WILL BE LIMITED TO LOCATIONS WITHIN COVERAGE OF THE CLOSEST ACTIVE TOWER WHICH IS PURPOSED FOR FIXED LTE SERVICE.CLIENTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THEIR DATA OUTSIDE OF THEIR FIXED LOCATION (WITHIN REASONABLE DISTANCE OF THE ACTIVATION AREA).
Would be good to know what is a reasonable distance?
Getting line of sight also depends on elevation, etc - from my limited knowledge. But you'll achieve that either way by just figuring out where you get the best signal and WiFi coverage for your house.
