Afrihost MTN Fixed LTE-A Thread

Hi same problem again...I notice this happens when downloading for an extended period..v annoying as I was updating a game and it failed after 20GB!!

Pls reset my radius as before and get the tech team to resolve this issue as a matter of urgency

This is a known problem with connection radius needing to be reset.

No my problem is that my IP gets blacklisted and I complain about it , that is the answer I get from Afrihost support. So no it is not unrelated.

He's fixed my issue before as i stated. Don't you read!

Yours is something entirely diff....either using non approved device or connecting to more than 1 tower.

1. Its is a B618 which is on the approved device list.
2. It is on the same spot since November.
3. It worked from November until the weekend when the problem started.
4. I can open afrihost.com but no other site outside the Afrihost network.
 
@AfriMan my current incident has been resolved by a WA agent , however the problem still exists.

ETA when it will be resolved?

Ah glad to hear it was resolved. We're definitely looking into, I have reported these trends to the NOC agents who are looking to see how we can mitigate them
 
My speeds are between 2mbps-8mbps to LOCAL sites and servers. Theres times my LTE is just unusable. Been trying to get it resolved since I got it last week, and basically getting the run around from the agent's. Really disappointed at the service I received recently as I have other packages and always seemed to get great service before. @AfriMan I dont know if you can help me. Also, I logged a call back request last night, they called today, I told them to give me a call back on a different number as I couldn't hear the agent properly on that line, she agreed, took my number and, well, I'm still waiting.

That's awful - totally understand! In terms of the callback, we should definitely call back if we say we will. That's pretty rank on our side :(

On the LTE, it really depends on which product you are on. If it's MTN LTE, we have more control and insight into the product performance. For Telkom LTE, we don't really have that. We've also got to look at coverage and reception, etc. But we can definitely do some troubleshooting and see what we can improve.

I have a MF283+ router which I am using with Rain fixed LTE at the moment. I am thinking of migrating to the MTN 'pureLTE' package, but according to the application form it is not listed. Only the MF286. Will the MTN sim work in a MF283+?
