Hi, were are working on restoring the APN service for both Fixed LTE and Air Mobile packages.@Afrigirl @AfriNatic,
Afrihost Fixed LTE completely Down, no Network from 2022-10-12 11:50 ????
But my Cellphone using Also Afrihost is working Perfectly (Air Mobile Package).
So what is the problem? And how long still to wait for the Fix?
I'm on Openserve, same thing happens with my Xiaomi router too- it's not the ISP's fault, merely just a hardware limitation.
Whats up with Fixed LTE.. Packet loss like Crazy???

I also asked that question a while ago, it's really cool to see! (I got a reply via PM, thank you quad for the info)What you using to get that graph?
Please send me and @Afrigirl a pm with the number you use for data.
There is a known issue where public IP's allocated to Android phones causes a battery drain. Android phones reply to packets sent preventing the LTE radio from going to sleep and that causes the battery drain.
The solution to this is to move your number to a natted IP to prevent bots on the internet from reaching your device.

Moving my post to this thread as it seems more relevant:
Are you sure this is an Android phone problem? I am seeing the same thing happening on my iPhone, your post made me raise an eyebrow and actually tested it last night, as I've been having similar battery drain overnight for no reason.
Here's the difference between Afrihost and MTN overnight (±6% vs. ±18%):
LTE on (Afrihost APN)
22:05 : 42%
05:29 : 24%
LTE on (MTN APN):
21:47 : 39%
05:21 : 33%
Some nights it's more than a 20% drain:

This was last night's battery usage on MTN:

I know comparing above charts isn't ideal because the timeframe is different and so was the battery level, but you can clearly see the level of drain from 21 -> 03.
So is anyone else experiencing battery drain while using Afrihost LTE?
Yep, iv figured out it's because afrihost assigns a public IP by default and not a cgnat one, so Port scanners on the Internet are constantly Port scanning the phones causing the lte radio to stay active all the time, the solution is to ask for a cgnat ip.

Can someone help me? I think I'm getting throttled. I'm on uncapped package.
Download 1.77Mbps but upload 17.70Mbps?
Anyone in George have the same issue?
