@AfriMan, order placed. Thanks. Qs below.

i) Install scheduled for Monday, 29th. Assume I can activate on Thursday 1st?
ii) I have a 2nd contract with Vumatel / Cell C (rental property) ending in a few months. Is this offer limited? NOTE: I could capture another order and it shows the discounts, but did not do checkout yet.

You're not limited to one promo. The promo could be discontinued, so the best would be to lock it in as soon as you possibly can. Remember that we do credit your Afrihost account for any cancellation costs (up to the R5k limit remaining) - in case you get charged an early cancellation penalty.

@AfriMan >> OpenServe have been to install >> what is next? Do I need to activate anything anywhere? Would be sweet if I could get things going by this evening??

EDIT: >> Thought I would give the Afrihost WhatsApp support a try – worked a treat.
Seems I only needed to reset the password in the Clientzone - and have the instructions now for setting up the router...

So fingers crossed I will be up and running this evening!

Awesome - glad the WhatsApp guys could help out :)

I want to say thanks to "Oscar @ Afrihost Fibre Ops | Pure Fibre XEY-145-29326 ". He sent me an email today while I was at work, saying that they managed to get my line migrated at home, without me even telling them that my previous ISP released it.

I checked this morning before leaving for work, and I was still connected to my old ISP, so figured they did not release the line and I had to wait until midnight. It was a nice surprise coming home and finding everything migrated and working.View attachment 688047

Oscar is a legend - in many ways he is the true Afriman! He's the guy we go to when we need miracles worked :)

To be honest getting kak speeds currently

Ping: 4ms
Download: 21.17Mbps
Upload: 13.13Mbps

Ping: 6ms
Download: 23.05Mbps
Upload: 48.55Mbps

on a 100/50 openserve line

That doesn't sound good at all. Are you able to run any tests we can take a look at, like a ping test and traceroute?

If this isn't sorted in the morning, please PM me so I can get our guys to follow up for you.
I can now confirm that there's no service on the line - when I try to connect via WiFi to any site, it takes me to shop.vumatel.com so you should be able to grab the line now

When I signed up I selected a lower package. Can I change my order if it hasn’t been activated as yet?

We should be able to change the package for you. It might affect how your promotion benefits are calculated, but let's give it a shot.

Just drop me a PM and we'll get into that for you.

Not to nitpick, but just want to clarify that we do a credit on your Afrihost billing account.
So if my monthly payment to CISP is R1500 - i start off in august with a -R1500 credit balance - PLUS my 3 months free - which essentially will give me 4 months free and R400 change.... ? ( Im going 100/50 @ R1107 )

I got this too in the last 15 minutes. Line worked fine since activation this afternoon, then boom dead as Zuma's conscience. @AfriMan mine was a new installation. Any ideas?

@AfriMan , my fibre was installed yesterday (new installation). Everything went smoothly:thumbsup: The only small snag, was that the router wasn't configured correctly, but a call to your support guys sorted it out. I am satisfied so far:)

@AfriMan my Vumatel fiber line was released by Cool Ideas at midnight. How do I get my open Pure Fiber order progressed now?

Just PM AfriMan or get onto the WhatsApp support. I used WhatsApp and they claimed my line in barely a minute.

Hey guys

Sorry I haven't replied to a few posts this morning - I'm supposed to be studying :crying:

AfriFella will be around for the next couple of days, while I upgrade my brain. But please PM me for anything urgent and I'll make sure I get to it as soon as I possibly can.

We're also dusting off some of the old MyBB team so we're always around on the forums

PS AfriFella is actually a lot smarter and technical than me, so I hope he doesn't make me redundant.

Hey SkippyRamirez
