As far as my thoughts go, I didn't think I would get any freebies as I'm alreadya Afrihost fibre client....
but even 1 month free damn then i'll swap
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the drive is to convert fibre customers to Uncapped Pure Fibre. Incentive might even be to phase out capped accounts. A lot of ISP's don't offer capped any longer.

Anyway pretty sure you qualify for free months, @cavedog will know...

As far as I know a migration in clientzone does not qualify for any of the freebies. Afrifella needs to confirm though.

From CISP support when I asked about it:

Yeah most ISP's are saying that they can't release it early until you speak to someone higher up.

Happened to me with Axxess, after PM'ing @The Axxess Lady they suddenly allowed it.
Now I need to find a way for ISPAfrika to do the same as their support says it's not possible

My advice - Go to someone higher up to get results

@AfriFella , I'm a capped customer of yours on Openserve, do I qualify for any rebates if I move to Uncapped Pure fibre? Let a brother know please!
Yeh sorry @Ares1000101, my assumption was incorrect. If you already with Afrihost, you can migrate but you won't be entitled to any of the rebates that new users or migration from other ISP's are entitled to. Sorry dude, my bad for giving you the incorrect information

Great experience so far moving to AH Pure Fibre 25mbps via Metrofibre, from Axxess DSL.

No complaints from Axxess and my DSL line's side, ran smoothly, but with the promo pricing I finally felt time was right to go uncapped and get a faster service as well. Router is also an upgrade from my previous model which is nice. Axxess was slightly more expensive and the router supplied didn't seem as nice, so opted to move over to AH. Also I had issues with Axxess not picking up the fibre at my address when looking to sign up with them.

Online sign up was quick and painless.
Router delivery fast.

I ordered last week Thursday, Friday tech called to make a booking and on Monday the CEP was installed (TP was already there as complex has fibre), but there was an issue with connection. Tech initially thought it was at the TP. Tech was friendly and on time as well.

The issue was logged, but here I do have an issue as there is no tracking of the install so I have an idea whats going on. Maybe difficult between ISP and providers, but would be great to be in the loop. Started a Whatsapp chat with AH to get some clarity and was informed that the events were logged by AH and MF. Promises to send the ref no.s to me via SMS dit not happen though. Also I felt like I needed to pull the info from the rep, they did not just tell me which was a bit frustrating.

Tuesday the 2nd tech called and made an appointment for Wednesday. Team of 4 arrived promptly and ascertained TP fibre was not at fault. Took about 2 hours but they traced the fault to where fibre splits into the complex apparently and fixed it. Line was working 100% ten minutes after they left, also received a email and sms from AH confirming this.

So far I'm very happy and recommend giving it a try. Line still running smooth and downloads on the PS4 are a breeze; helpful with the new EA Access :)

Outta interest.. Where do I access ea access on ps4

I took up the Pure fibre package on Monday, received my router today:).
now to wait till the 22nd to be activated....

We should be able to change the package for you. It might affect how your promotion benefits are calculated, but let's give it a shot.

Just drop me a PM and we'll get into that for you.
Hey,

Did CISP Agree to cancel your line early, they didnt with me?

You sign up to the service via PS Store. Then you download the EA Access 'app' for PS4 and browse the games, takes you straight to the store interface to action the download.

Should be able to find the games direct via the store, but seems the EA access ones are a different version on its own, so you'll need to find the right one.

Hi

What do you mean by not "carrying over". So what happens to the cancellation credit ? Are you saying it forms part of the 2 or 3 months "free", and once these are spent - the cancellation credit is gone ?

I was under the impression : Assuming i start on 1 Aug with AH

- AH credits my account with the R1500 ( in my case ) because i cancelled with CISP
- August is free month 1 of the 3 month deal
- September is free month 2 of the 3 month deal
- October is free month 3 of the 3 month deal
- November i start digging into the credit on my account ( R1500 ) which means November is paid from this credit
- December i start my first proper payment ?

Is that not how it works ?
Your understanding is accurate. The 5k promotion does cover your cancellation costs (R1500), provided that you have settled that charge with CISP, which also implies that you will start paying for your package in December.
