As mentioned earlier, they refusing to do it for me.
I've mailed them now to say that I know of people who they are doing it for, so why not me?
Yeah that really is bizarre, there should be no reason for them to deny it. Maybe it's because of the influx of cancellations they are getting, and now trying to stall it.

Your understanding is accurate. The 5k promotion does cover your cancellation costs (R1500), provided that you have settled that charge with CISP, which also implies that you will start paying for your package in December.
Apparently my cancellation invoice is only issued on 31 July. So as soon as I have that - I will pay it. Who do I send the invoice to at Afrihost after I paid it ?

Thanks

Rather get the rep PBCool involved, otherwise you may end up just going around in circles.

You guys have all been posting amazing 1Gbps speeds - I'll admit, I was jealous.

Convinced our CTO that I needed to upgrade my line for "testing" purposes

So here we go - can anyone beat this?

Would love to challenge anyone on another network to beat the speeds we're seeing on our 1Gbps! Really think this is the best I've ever seen! :notworthy:

From a couple months ago when I was testing ISPs.

Your ping is a lot better though
Really amazing that these speeds have been made affordable.

@AfriMan you make me wanna upgrade even higher

Just outta interest.. Can a person see their usage on pure? With cisp you cannot. Maybe the guys that are already using can tell me.

Quick question. If for me to release my line, I need to pay for August + Cancellation fee. What do I do?

You can send it to [email protected], our accounts team will pass the credit. They may require proof of payment.

Let's see if your Afrihost speed beats that! I'm willing to bet it will ;)

@AfriMan @AfriFella im currently a customer of your using a 100/50 openserve line. it turns out the vumatel offering on pure fibre is much more tastier than the openserve route. how can i take advantage of this?

I think you should be fine. Just order a new Vumatel product and before it goes active cancel the Openserve line. If the Openserve line is still within the 6 months then you might have to pay the R999 cancellation fee but can't see why ordering a Vumatel line would be an issue.

Long past the previous 500GB FUP so the new Pure fibre packages are unshaped and unlimited. Love it. The D-LINK router has been pretty stable for me with no restarts or anything.

Hi @AfriMan, I just signed up via your Website for one of your Pure Fibre deals. I chose the Migrate option because I currently have an account with CISP. Will you guys do everything from your side including the cancellation of my account with CISP or is there something I must do?

You have to cancel at CISP. SO if you want to cancel immediately then you need to pay CISP next months suband they will release the line now. You can claim that back as a credit on your Afrihost account if you do it or you will have to wait until end of August when CISP will cancel and release your line.

You need to cancel with CISP. Afrihost can't do that. Once you have initiated the cancellation with CISP then Afrihost will do the rest. Just make sure you tell CISP you are moving ISPs so they can push the line back to Vumatel or into the Openserve holding pool.
