That will soften the blow.. So in other words.. Aug Sept Oct and Nov would be free and my cancellation credit would then be offset against Dec bill?@esmile and @STORMERSFAN
The best I can do is offer you guys an extra month free for all your trouble. Is that ok?
Precisely. It's the least we can do.That will soften the blow.. So in other words.. Aug Sept Oct and Nov would be free and my cancellation credit would then be offset against Dec bill?
Thank u.. Offer accepted..Precisely. It's the least we can do.![]()
That's a decent trade off!! At least now you can splurge on some mobile data...Thank u.. Offer accepted..
Kudos to @AfriFella atleast trying to sort peeps out this time on a Friday!
I've had a good experience so far myself, will see in time, but for now can't really complain.
Hey WarrieP
Thank you so much for the feedback. Please drop me a PM if you need anything.
The cut-off date for package changes is the 15th of every month.Shot @AfriFella will do.
Don't really need anything, just want to make sure about the date of downgrading, must we submit before the 15th or before the 23rd of a month? Then it downgrades speed on the 1st of the next month and we're billed the lower amount?
My fibre line is down and it's exactly 7 days after Supersonic released it. I'm pretty sure that Afrihost did not migrate my line....![]()
I'm on Openserve, so can't get 1gbps, but if I had the choice I would pick that.. can never have too much speedSo I upgraded to 1000/100 to test during the free months.
Not getting near the 1000 speed, but think it's due to my router not able to handle it, still need to test with the free DLink router.
But is 1000 Download really needed, or would the 200/200 actually be a better practical option??
I have a plex server running where I share with family, and also 7 x IP cameras constantly streaming.
It was not an issue on my previous 100/100 package, but with the extremely generous pricing on the 1Gig package, why not?
What have you guys found to be best bang for buck, the 200/200 or 1000/100 package?
There is only a R50 diff in price.

So if lines are still active 7 days after they have been released and waiting to be picked up by a new ISP, why cant afrihost hand out temporary pppoe details before the migration happens?
I get that the line shouldn't be in the holding pool for more than a few hours, but hiccups happen. Look at stormersfan. I mean if it's technically possible to still use the line while it's in the holding pool, why doesn't AH provide temp details to these guys? Or they could provide these details upon successful sign up already so no real downtime is experienced? Just a suggestion.Well the line stays active for 7 days in the holding pool but it's not supposed to be in the holding pool for that long. Afrihost or the new ISP should migrate the line as soon as it goes into the holding pool. With Afrihost this is supposed to happen automatically and the the pppoe details gets sent. If they are activated early then this will affect billing. Not that it's and issue with pure fibre promo since it's free.
I asked Afriman and he provided me with a temp account.
