Oh so it's not a "capped" thing, and once you used it, it's done.
400TB is not really a cap, it's more of an arbitrary value which was required by the system. I am sure you admit that most users don't hit that mark. If you do exceed 400TB, you won't be cut off from the internet because the link can be adjusted on-demand.

Ja but its a value allocated to ALL your customers no ? - not just me. So depending on how crazy your users go - i just wondered what will happen once that amount is reached, but you kind of answered it in the sense that it just gets adjusted. There is no chance i will ever hit 400TB by myself - MAX i have ever done on CISP in a month is just over 1.2TB

1.2TB is not bad, most users don't reach 1TB.

Why is so much data being used?
The pool can be adjusted according to demand.
400TB is not a lot of data for multiple 1Gbps/ 200Mbps / 100Mbps accounts actually. That can be used up very quickly

So what happens if that "pool" runs out ?
Sorry, is this 400TB "pool" specifically per user IE Krycor? Or is all users currently signed up for the Pure Fibre promo? What does this 400TB allocation refer to?

I think 50 users all watching 4k rips, 24/7, would battle to rack up 13TB's of usage per day. I may be wrong though...
i think it's just downloading for the sake of downloading to "get your money's worth", and probably a fetish for watching numbers tick over.

Well, a single user that hits 400TB in a month would deserve some kind of award. It's impossible on a single gigabit account.

@wingnut771 - how is that setting in Kodi helping you ? Or is it not making much of a difference ?
it hasn't made a difference regarding starting, ie; retry retry (skip forward skip backwards), also can't run pingplotter while streaming as the luckypacket motherbuffer comes back.
i'm going to put the edgerouter back today (been using ah supplied router, which made no difference), do a complete reset, setup smart qos and see if there is any difference regarding pingplotter, but like i've been saying, never had these issues last month with macrolan, or the 4 months prior with websquad.

A 4K stream uses about 7.2GB per hour, if you multiply that by 24hrs then you get about 173GB per day, multiply that by 30 days and you get about 5TB per month, mind you this is only for one user

400TB refers to the data links which our system uses. If you do exceed 400TB, you won't be cut off from the internet

I admit that the router we supplied is good but not the best router out there. Perhaps the edgerouter is superior in terms of specs and performance. please let us know if your performance improves.

ok finished the edgerouter, pingplotter looking much better although still have the retry retry problem:
see pic below, i start a stream and stare at the screen, then i skip forward then back then it plays.

edit: i see i cut off the speed on the left.

I see the evidence. Which service are you streaming? RD?

Install the RD app on your phone and do it again - see if it struggles to start on that...
