Bring it on Vodacom!

When he pretty much has done nothing else today but fsck around on Twitter? I think it is a BIG issue.
Same as we have done nothing today but fsck around on MyBB? Sure, handle that in a different way, accuse him of neglecting his duties or something, not what you are doing right now.

Ok dude...

I know we have different takes on a fair number of things, but I really do not understand how you can even vaguely defend Lesufi in this... he is wasting tax payers money chasing after something that has fsck all to do with him and that he clearly doesn't understand, and the minute it gets to an actual court case he will drag in government lawyers as well cos he doesn't have any money to defend his own retarded little mouth.

Or they could just pay the man instead of entertaining sideshows... The court ordered them to pay him. Why make it more difficult for themselves?

Again tiny little detail... the court ordered them to negotiate a fair payment, and if they can't do that the CEO of Vodacom must arbitrate which he has done.

The fact that Makate is rejecting the figure doesn't change the fact that for all intents and purposes Vodacom has followed the ruling to the letter.

They offered a huge amount, but his financial backers want more - it is not relevant anymore what Makate wants as everything is now controlled by Sterling Rand - they are the ones adding fuel to the fire now.

They are shooting themselves in the foot. They want to low-ball Makate, they should learn from what just happened to MTN in Nigeria where they recently paid R738m to settle a dispute - Pay the man what is fair, because the way things are going Makate will go back to court and tell the court based on revenue generated via 'his' invention and the court will order Vodacom to pay R.1.2-billion. Pay him 120-million or whatever amount he is likely to accept than offer him 10-million. After so many years they think Makate will take 10-million ?

Any irony that Panzerfaust le Souffle and Co is now actually doing the "dirty for WMC"? I so wish I had a twit account :ROFL:

The UK/ZAR exchange rate is not helping either.

What the actual fsck are you on?

Nigeria was a compliance issue with the government.

This is based on a gentlemans agreement with an employee who didn't invent sweet FA.

He has apparently been offered R49m and turned it down...if that is the case, I would revise the offer down to R10m and tell him to take it or leave it.

LOL at R10mil not being enough for throwing around an idea that had already been patented by someone else (its R49mil that's being rejected btw) but regardless you can't be that naive to think it's Makate calling the shots - no, its what some people like to call WMC - its all in the hands of UK investors now.
Makate has no say whatsoever on the amount and if to settle or not, he signed away that option long time ago.

Since the offer was made and he is not accepting it as per the court order, perhaps legal costs can be deducted from that R49m from now on. Should stop the circus.

I think Lesufi is about to lose billions of Rands he thought he would get from Vodacom. I think he is p!ssed.

Upcoming elections.

Not even.

In my opinion, this is not a matter where politicians should involve themselves in.

Secondly, either he, family or friends were involved in backing this case financially. If not, he is deep in the pockets of some financial backers who are forcing him to take actions.

Either way, Vodacom should not give into these threats.

One would hope that the MEC would be so passionate about his service delivery portfolio as he is about sticking it to Vodacom.

Makes one wonder what Sterling Rand has on Lesufi or how much has he been offered......

Otherwise, just as usual, some UK PR firm managing to stir up local ****.

I was waiting for Lew to come in here all blustering with his bollocks...

I see lots of contact details there to play with...... Not that im criminally inclined just "motivated".
