Jannie quick question but it's not exactly data related.Just don't want to start a new thread for one quick question.
I've been wondering, with prepaid customers, they have CLIP enabled at no charge. But when on a contract, to have CLIP you pay R 9.50 or something to that amount. I changed my current number from prepaid to topup contract, and instantly the CLIP dropped away.
Why do we have to pay for this? (I know that all providers charge this not only VC, so not pointing fingers.)
I could be wrong here...but I would say this:
With prepaid there is no effective way of billing someone for this service on a monthly basis...so it is more than likely worked into the call rates. With contract, due to the fact that we have the ability to charge you for VAS should you elect them, we can activate it for you on request and bill you extra for it as it is not worked into the tarrif financials........or something like that anyway.
