Thanks, hopefully the routing can get fixed in the future as well since it's still at 220ms while it is 160ms over vpn.

Also not sure why, but for the last few days Discord has failed or is incredibly slow at loading images. It is a rather new issues and unfortunately the IP it uses to download images stops at cloudflare: 104.16.247.144
Yes this IP is a bit more complicated it's the return path, was working on this today as well. Shouldnt take long to resolve.

And twitch can't even manage 180 kB/s. So its completely useless.

Honestly at this point I'm curious to see just how bad this can get because it seems to be degrading.

Twitch was not watchable for me tonight. Second night in a row, and it's always at night during peak time.

And this morning international is dead again...

Supposed to be on a 200 /200

This actually looks to be coming from an Akamai cluster on IS' network in London, have you tried changing DNS to 1.1.1.1 at all?

I have not tried 1.1.1.1 - still using default CISP dns (155.93.255.1 / 154.0.1.10) - should I try 1.1.1.1?

I went to bed, the internet was CRAP yesterday and last night. Is also crap this morning. I am going into the office anyway because international speeds are too slow to support video conferencing.

:/ at least I can Skype on my expensive connection.

You gotten anywhere with your research?

I don't know where you live or who your fibre provider is but from what I can tell its Octotel's garbage network.

I know myself, @Kwerty and @ArtyLoop are all on Octotel and we all seem to have the same issue in the evenings. I can tell you personally I have congestion issues because over the Christmas holidays when everyone left and stopped using the internet twitch and my internet in the evenings worked flawlessly. Once everyone came back in Jan issues flared up again. I also know of another user here on the forums who had to fight her way to getting Octotel to fix her congestion. Yes, fight because the C word doesn't actually exist and is taboo for network operators in this country.

I seriously feel like I've just traded one Telkom for another.

The congestion is in my area... because when the street is empty i.e. they all sod off to the malls or the pub... I can get nearly 2/3 of my line speed to the UK. So its basically Octotel being unwilling to increase the backhaul or lying to CISP about it. I now schedule my downloads for when Mr Loudmouth next door sods off to go ride his bike and, and when he returns at 1AM I can see it... speed drops

I'm on Octotel and have zero issues with CISP. Stay in the Claremont area

I too stay in Claremont with Octotel. 100/25 line.

The reason I say its congestion is because my issues only occur during peak time. I can give you a day breakdown of how the internet functions.

Mon-thursday is a mixed bag, at best twitch is unstable but usable at worst its unusable.

This is typically what I get in the evening (between 6-10PM) on these days:

Friday is the best day of the week. Most of time its usable but can be unstable.

Saturday is also a mixed bag.

Sunday is without a doubt the worst day of the week. My international basically grinds to a halt and its outright pointless trying to stream twitch or anything international.

Sunday throughput:

I'm using single thread performance here for the sake of brevity and because its accurate to what I get throughput wise to twitch in evenings.

Over the Christmas break, I had flawless internet for about 3 weeks. Any time of day or night I could stream twitch without any issues. Once Jan started the internet went back to what you see above, basically unusable.

My issues started back in October and I've tried everything on my side to fix this, even bought a new router which obviously has done nothing.

If the congestion is in your area - all your local speedtests will also be suffering - is that the case?
