Hi PBCool, my fibre status has been on "pending ISP activation" for a while now. Please can you push this for me. Thanking you in anticipation of your usual kind cooperation.

It would be overhead on the line limit usually, do you have a gigabit network?

Yes I do, Its connected directly from my Router with gigabit ports and a CAT5e cable. That should give the max speed? Just wondering as I've seen people get the full 100/100 on their lines.

On which fibre operator?

Sorry for the delay in response, day was a bit chaotic. You can use the line at full speed 24hrs a day if you liked and we wouldn't throttle or limit it.

100Mbit network card would peak at roughly 94Mbit , pop a 1gigabit card in on top of gigabit router/switch into the CPE and you should be getting what the rest of us on 100Mbit CISP are getting around 104-105Mbit/s.

Hey @PBCool

Internet just died all of a sudden while working. WiFi and cable not working but all lights are on, router and CPR. In the Bryanston area. Any issues on your side or would I have to call Vuma?

No known outages at this point, have you logged or called our support line?

Same issue, also in Bryanston; I just logged COOL-20170927-39682 regarding the problem.

Vumatel has just reported an outage in Bryanston. They are looking into it.

@PBCool, I received an email from Vumatel with an invoice for the Fibre line for R1710. I’m a little confused because I thought that was already paid for when I signed up?

Had my router delivered today, although my line is not yet installed :D

My neighbour did however get back to me so we can access his roof and hopefully the installation guys will have some time tomorrow to do it.

Very good service on the router delivery, was friendly and fast. Good first impression.
