Brakpan is getting? Is this the 123Net claims?
This is our fibre. Not anyone else's. And yes, areas in Primrose can be connected.

Or you're watching different streams entirely, and as previously mentioned Twitch is notorious for their unreliability in their various pieces of infrastructure that they've tried to stick together...
I've viewed multiple Twitch streams several times throughout the day, can't say I've noticed any discrepency in streaming quality. Also depends on upload speed of the user broadcasting. Could just be a dodgy stream.
Hey DJ
Last month you mentioned that Home Basic uncapped users will be seeing a change to the way which the account runs. Could I get an idea of how us Home Basic users will be affected or will the current policy remain intact?
FYI, fibre plans coming along nicely. This is our own FTTH deployment.
Forecasted numbers indicate around min 50 person signup (house, apartment, flat, complex - it doesn't matter but we have certain density targets) and a rate of R499 per month for a 100Mbps fibre line.
Seem reasonable?
No. Not acceptable! Because I am stuck with Telkom!![]()
@DJ... some of our neighbours are setting off rockets and stuff. Can you fix them please?

Portal update: going to push this out to tomorrow at this point as I want final sign off from QA before we do anything at all...
Has the new portal been launched?

Haha, no you're fine. You're on premium uncapped.
Premium uncapped should see that just about everything operates at line speed unless the source of the download is pretty far, in which case it has nothing to do with us and everything to do with operating system receive windows and round trip time, as well as receive window buffers. I did post a while back about how this all works - basically international is always a bit slower simply because of the way your operating system handles IP traffic and the way IP traffic throughput is impacted by latencies (i.e. the design of the internet). That's why bringing these links closer (like Netflix) improves quality overall...![]()
Portal release pushed back again?![]()
You by any chance near Rondebosch, Cape Town?Same thing going on here.
Odd bookface issue ...... some pics not loading on the CW but switching to WA and they all load. Not really a huge thing but it's odd and a weeny bit irritating. Anyone else?
