Last month for me at crystal web. If I wanted a service that works SOMETIMES, I could do that with another isp, for substantially less money.

So dissapointed that they lied about premium uncapped accounts. Better contention my ass.

I won't bother moving to one of their capped accounts either.
At the very least they could have told us there was a problem with premium uncapped accounts at certain hours of the day.

Either to axxes or vox from here.

What did they lie about?

Do you have as bad experience on a capped account? No matter the ISP, uncapped is rubbish, dont even think CW can get away with upstream shaping policies... uncapped is non-transparent.. use it at your own risk.

They announced lower contention for uncapped accounts. The last few weeks I have had issues with my premium uncapped account, on a daily basis. Other folks on here have seen this happen as well.

The thing is, until recently, my premium uncapped account was phenomenal. I use less than 300 gigs a month, I could easily move to a capped account with them at roughly the same price. The reason I haven't is because I don't want to worry about needing to do topups, or my data magically disappearing.

I agree that it's a "use at your own risk" sort of service yeah. But if they had just told me they're shaping my account because there's high contention in the bandwidth pool for premium uncapped, I would have switched to cap.





What about pricing?
Well, we’re about to slash that too. Not only will we be introducing lower pricing on uncapped AND capped data, but you will get lower contention on uncapped, and free midnight to 6pm data on Xtreme Home Capped accounts

What did they lie about?

I agree with you 5000%, your superior wit and intellect has convinced me. I see the light ! :D

1. As a CW customer I am not entitled to be informed about ANY problems affecting my account. (Heck, they deserve my money because they're so great).

2. CW does not lie, saying one thing and then doing something contradictory to it NOT a lie. A simple misunderstanding, (OMG what's wrong with me for thinking otherwise).

I'll retract my cancellation right away, what was I thinking. CW needs more people like you involved in the community. You have my thanks.

Lower contention is better for us customers, not worse. Higher contention means more shaping and that has not happened.

A few individuals had issues but the overwhelming majority did not.

And CWM have been on here stating very categorically that they have not yet shaped any accounts.

I think he's saying that lower contention was announced but that higher contention is being experienced.

Notwithstanding my post above, it would be nice if we could get a clear answer with respect to the reported issues (like we used to...)

Yeah, I'm done ranting. Will just quietly move on until things get better at CW.
I'm in the small majority having issues.

Absolutely. I'm in a similar situation where the premium uncapped account performs very irratic lately. On Monday Netflix was streaming at a constant 240p with buffering in between. The next day it had correct itself but it's been up and down(mostly up though ).

Well they fixed the Telkom 100mb fibre profile config error.
