The south being anything not facing north?
Actually no. It being the opposite of East with a 90' turn on the horizontal plane to the left. Hehe.

Serious mode/

No secret the most home capped users with issues are on the southern IPC.

I've already got alternate accounts which work just dandy and will likely downgrade this account if they don't sort their stuff out. :(

Just tested on my Home Capped and im gettting max speed on a 1080p Youtube stream.

I did speak to support, but the agent was not aware of any fixes being implemented today, I've asked him to get some representation on here to answer some of the questions, maybe that helps getting answers to some of your guys issues

was referring to this:

Future news to be released and to watch out for:
• FTTH – ETA mid July
• New portals: ETA end of June (beta testers please PM me to be added to the beta testers group)
• Updated website and checkout: ETA end of July
• All new payment options introduced (including debit orders and debit cards): final testing stage
Fix in CPT: ETA 25 June 2015

Support staff seem a bit quiet today.

Think CW has become a victim of their own success, just like Afrihost in the past. You get voted ISP of the year and then have difficulty handling all the new users flocking over to greener pastures.

At least that's what it seems like. All these issues look capacity related to me.

Right.

Account is working as it should for the first time in business hours on streaming as it should!

Please let this be the end of issues for a while. And whoever did whatever to whatever thing...step away and don't touch :D

Way back when CW was a fledgling ISP, I warned them of this very day.

When the forums rage, to not hide. We moved from having very open transparent answers to all the goings on to more private dealings and very little in the way of info on MyBB. And I really cannot say I blame them, from the way some customers (?) in the past have acted on the forums. However, I was also promised they had very thick skin and would keep at it. It was nice while it lasted.

Unfortunately, when you try pander to the Internet Hate Machine it will inevitably eat you up and spit you out. They are more than welcome to adopt a more professional stance, but don't lose the unique thing that drew in the customers in the first place. That's how you end up being just another OW / Afrihost / Axxess / MWEB / PickYourISP. Would be great to go back to how things were, and to finally get the hamster turning his wheel again so people's issues get resolved.

I think most of us would like them to have a bigger presence on the forums, but the times I really required their assistance I never had issues contacting them via their online chat. They have always been helpful and always managed to fix my issue. They ar e probably just very busy, they have stated that should you need support you should contact them via their Online Support systems, not on this forums.

Should I be concerned that the second hop in my tracert is always timing out?

Wouldn't that be the hop to the exchange, if so, how would I be able to check for exchange congestion?

That happens to me too. It's nothing to worry about. Apparently Telkom enabled something at the exchanges that causes time outs on 2nd hop. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Awesome, guess they got tired of being confronted with evidence. They'd rather just hide any issues.

I have to say right now I am a bit disappointed in CW.

I started out with them on a uncapped account which was unshaped for the first 200gigs. Then I changed to their summer promotion of 200gig capped account, also unshaped. Then when they converted my account after the promotion there was obviously an error on their system as I was labeled as a business premium user which is completely unshaped. This came to light when I ran out of cap the other night. Now I'm getting a measly 200kb download speed over P2P. On a 10meg line. I am told their shaping policy changed in January this year and the only unshaped accounts are business premium.

Apologies for any errors that we have made on our side during your transition period from our Summer Promotion to Home Capped. It is a tough balance to get right, Offering data at what works out to around 60c per GB means some compromise has to be had. That being p2p and nntp is contended higher on these products. We do offer a range of products for each usage case, and if this sort of product isn't suitable we can always look at something more in line with your needs. Happy to discuss on live chat or via our ticket desk.

Here is some sauce for the folks to go along with my statement above;

First up CW.

A lovely flat shaped rate being applied.

Look at that flatrate YouTube bandwidth graph.

Here we have my alt account which is capped at 10mb mind you on the account.

Looking damn good maxing the ACCOUNT capacity.

And you can clearly see where I switched accounts in the YouTube bandwidth graph.

I thought the threads would be split between capped and uncapped. I would like to get an idea of which direction is the best.

Same. Youtube is terrible on these home capped accounts.
