What is the cut-off date for cancellations, and how do we go about it? I don't have portal access, so can't do it via that.

Exactly, all the more reason it shouldn't buffer that much - which it didn't use to. No matter what, it shouldn't buffer at 1/10th of my maximum line speed, especially if it happened on all different sources which were completely unrelated to each other.

Hold your horses, from sources such at vodlocker I get max 40KB/s, and that is when I grab the video URL through video downloadhelper and download it with Internet Download Manager. I currently do this on mweb Premium Uncapped. As a test I see Ubuntu comes down at over 400KB/s. Nowvideo gives about 50KB/s to 80KB/s. Here and there I will get a good source that does 200KB/s max. It is not ISP related, the hosters of vodlocker and such offer their service for free. Free = congested.

VPS + free + no CDN also equals awful experience, no matter what people say about the ISP...

Before the 19th. I should note that the ISP you're "investigating" to move to, to resolve your Kodi sources issue suffers the same issues and accusations and the same can be read in the thread you posted in there. It's really not ISP related here at all. Some sources are just very, very poor. Especially from these free sources.

For the record, nothing on the network has changed other than an increase in value to customers, lowering of some prices, and increase in performance as well across the board. Between last week and this week nothing has changed on our side either...

I'm on your capped product and use to have a account to connect to the CW news server, been having authentication issues lately and now I've been advised by support that I should try and connect to another CW news server with no authentication :|

Oh, he's just checking to see if the standard news server works too. No issues on the radius for the premium news server though on our end and certainly still available...

What is all this hype about news servers? (NN something something acronym?)
Where can I read about the Crystal Web news server? Whats wrong with News24? :erm:

My internet experience has been awesome with CW. First time proper ISP I must add. Previous was horribly expensive WISP and before that 2MB Mweb uncapped! :D

I'm still waiting for CrystalWisp :p, or telkom to bless our area with phone lines (that will likely happen like in never.), but yeah, CW is gooood. :D

Thanks DJ, but I've now been waiting for a while to get my News Server logon details from CW support. The details I have is nog longer working. I keep on getting error 502 Authentication failed.

I can fix it up. PM me your normal adsl account username and I'll sort it out for you...

So this has just miraculously become the situation over the weekend, whilst it wasn't like that before? Also, NTV is a live streaming service, not a series download service - both types were equally affected.

Also, I got a PM from one of your former clients stating he got the same run-around after he saw my above posts, and his issues were also fixed by moving.

I'll be patient and stick it out for another month as I missed the cancellation date, as I'd like at least 1 of the parties to keep up an end of the bargain, so it might as well be me.

The person in question PM'ing you was a client from a long time ago when we offered different products on a different backbone and there were issues that we actively admitted to at the time. He has a vendetta and is really not someone to be trusted about advice relating to our network and our business.

With respect to your issues, have you spoken to anyone on support at all and what was the outcome if so?

I can only speak for our network, and I can assure you there are zero issues our side...

DJ, I pay via EFT with reference as indicated on the invoice. Will it be an issue if I pay before the end of this month for September?

Not at all - we can always reconcile from an old invoice number as well which is fine...

Or it has everything to do with your network. They worked fine before. And your network is the only common denominator - except for Kodi, which is also a version I have used for an extended period.

Different sources, same problem - see what I'm getting at?

Dude Kodi is a nice UI to get video from a crappy source, and those streams come and go, and die, and perform well, then perform badly....most of those things are p2p based. So it would be like asking "why can't I download torrent "X" which is 5 hours old and has 1 seed at maximum line speed?".

For instance I was playing around with Acestream over the weekend. One stream worked flawlessly in nice HD, another buffered every 5 seconds. This happened on CW, Afrihost, Webafrica and my Axxess account. Bottom line is if you want reliable quality streaming, cough up the cash and subscribe to a service that isn't p2p based, tons to choose from and won't break the bank.

My Twitch issues seem to be more time specific and channel specific. obviously down to the server it is connecting to.
I can get a channel running fine now but later in the evening seems to get issues, that are only solved via Livestreamer.
So maybe Twitch changed something?

What's the difference between the home capped and business capped accounts?

I want to move from the current home uncapped account to a capped account. I think 450Gb is enough for me. Any notice period for moving between accounts?

If it's a financial downgrade, subject to notice prior to the 19th.

Business capped has high network priority and far less contention on p2p and nntp in peak hours...

I can't pirate the latest movies in 1080p blame your ISP... I mean it could never be the shady sources you trying to stream from.
