What odds do the bookies give on DJ being resurrected a second time?
 
I assume I would be difficult to ask that this thread be kept to CrystalWeb performance?

When I see 10 new pages of comments I immediatly assume the network is going for a ball of s**t.

Agree. DJ started a thread addressing RPM the other day - can't find it now but I seem to remember it being a tad on the confrontational side - just my opinion.

Said without prejudice and informed only by the perception created publicly:

It was confrontational, but legitimately so judging by the version of events related by DJ... We aren't privy to the other side of the story, nor should we be, but this whole debacle leaves a very sour taste. DJ...'s supposed abrasiveness aside, he represents a well-liked and popular ISP. If MyBB still harbours any semblance of their pro-consumer roots, they should feel a compulsion to sort out their **** with CW and start acting like grown-ups.

Alas, given how this site's character has changed over years, I am not holding my breath.

The most activity in a loooooooong time in this thread and it's to do with the CEO being banned and not performance. Gotta love an ISP that just works :)

Will keep on recommending this ISP to all.

And adblock this website. To hell with them.

And with DJ... gone we might never get an answer or update on anything :(

Hope someone else steps up into the CW Rep role. Not that they need to be here really to resolve issues - almost no issues ever - but someone to provide updates on stuff like the portal would be nice.

Portal is WIP from the last update I saw, but given the complexity involved, timescales aren't really known :/

Will post updates if I get any, I'm still in touch with DJ

Well I'm sure when they release they want to be damn sure it's slick as hell and packed with customer focused features.

I can wait. Not like I need it to troubleshoot issues anyway :)

I think you have hit the nail on the head with the comment about "grown-ups". I meany, really. A bit if criticism, and no mature reasoned response - just bug off wif a ban. Which is how this forum has been since pa fell off the proverbial bus. So wet.
 
so basically the admins of MYBB doesnt like to be confronted? In DJ's defense, every ISP gets mentioned on MYBB except CW. Whenever tests are done, comparisons are made, packages discussed, CW are always left out. Things like that should make you pretty hot under the collar no doubt about it, especially if you continue to support a company like Open Web without a care in the world at what that ISP does.

make of it what you will, its the strangest thing i have ever seen on any forum with regards to the goings on. You can never continue to show support for a company like Openweb, and ignore genuine requests by a top company like Crystal Web.

MyBB doesn't even talk about a FRACTION of all the ISPs out there... They have a hand full which they seem to sugarcoat, and 90%+ easily of other ISPs in the South African market, are left out.

Most of the icing is expended polishing that turd of an ISP called OpenWeb that myBullshyteBrand is hell-bent on nurturing for peculiar reason not yet known...

The 'peculiarity' in my rhetoric, in essence, was to prod at the conscience of this website.

The site cannot exist on both sides of the same coin. You either choose to be the consumer champion or you choose to be a commercial entity in the true sense of the word. If you try and straddle both sides, not only will you grind your nuts, but also create a tenuous relationship that results in conflicts as evidenced of late.

We both been members for several years. I have recently noticed a tangible and growing swell of members openly displaying distrust in this site. Where myBB considers commercial gain as the priority, then seriously, how is it possible to have objective results in ISP evaluations by myBB. It would be the same as MTN having a poll on the best ISP in South Africa - naturally we would frown where axxess and afrihost come in at number one and two. What difference is there to the MTN case, when myBB flaunts the advertorials of patently rubbish ISPs or give only some ISP opportunity and explicitly excludes another ISP from having the same - that is purely biased from myBB. They may very well proffer some feeble excuse (there's a thread on it regarding advertising is delineated from editorial teams, pffft), but to turn away good advertising money, well, it will be hard to persuade me otherwise.

The BEST ISP in SA myBB poll has gone to the toilet - an ISP who now uses that as a slogan to attract clients should be reported to the ASA. We cannot have a situation where an ISP wins the best ISP and thereafter gets to use that to induce clients whilst we're in the current climate myBB finds itself (don't forget that one-question-poll saga administered to selective members only) - in my opinion, it is seems wrong and darn bordering on fraud!! and, therein rests my peculiarity.

EDIT: As some know, deleting of posts and infraction or banning people has become the draconian method of engagement. It would therefore be remiss of me not to take a screen shot of my post - for prosperity reasons.

I don't like not having a company rep on here though. Would like to ask about those elusive and exciting new plans or changes coming soon.

I see even Webafrica has doubled capped data. Ag let me bug a poor oke on live chat and see if I can fish anything out of them.
