Not dead but real slow Youtube. Takes ages to load. 40mb line.
Definitely something up this morning - Cape Town area.

Yup youtube is running at 384k speed and downloads are running at <=10kbps for me. 10Mb premium uncapped.
 
Same here.
Just had a chat with support (via telephone) live chat was missing.

Apparently they are aware of the problem and they are working on it.

Cool thanks for the update. Switched to another ISP account and flying So definitely an CW/IS issue and not a Telkom/Cable etc. issue.
 
@CW your silence on all these issues is really saddening :( Some of us have been with you guys from the get go and we deserve an explaination in the very least.
To just ignore us and this thread is a douche move!
 
10MB Home Premium Uncapped here, PE/Jeffreys Bay area. Youtube and all other protocols still work fine, and speeds are pretty good, but I was seeing streaming issues this morning.

Keep tickets open with their support desk, and subscribe to notices/updates.

+1. I don't like where the service seems to be going for more and more people(I'm not affected... yet), but there are more efficient support channels for CW, i.e. the live chat.

Also, we're only seeing complaints here. Thousands of customers, and only a few people having problems...? If it was widespread there'd be a much larger outcry, and network notices etc.

The cynic in me wonders if there's an agenda at play, but I have nothing to back that up so I won't say it.

I know DJ was banned, I'm specifically talking about the CW rep that posts here.
I been with CW practically since start up, and while I endures all the start up issues. But start up has come and gone a year ago, it's time to see some results from the months of promises.

EDIT: please note I'm not complaining about any network issues. I'm simply saying it won't hurt the CW rep if he comes in here and explains what's going on. He/She has updated us before, why the sudden silence? Gag order?

I'm sorry, but I have a strong urge to point something out in response to this...

The thread is titled "Official Crystal Web ADSL performance feedback thread Part 3...", it was started by Crystal Web support, and they've been active here.

If it's no longer an official support channel, perhaps they should look to close the thread, or at least rename it. Might result in less hassle for both CW and their customers...

Good to know that my posts aren't ignored.

At least that tells us the thread is monitored, even if no regular updates are forthcoming.

Might as well close the thread with a notice directing all queries to live support, it would potentially mitigate the ongoing reputation damage and make it easier to focus on official support channels (no need for reconciliation between open tickets and thread complains, for starters).

CW reps can't change thread titles. Mods can. I see a mod in here often.
