Hi guys, any idea if I can sign up for a capped account under the crystalweb@home -> capped section if i have 100mb fibre or do I have to sign up under the FTTH section, pricing seems different. The capped section only allows choice of up to 40mb vdsl and I don't want my account to be limited if I choose that option. I am with openserve so ADSL/VDSL accounts should be fine but I stand corrected on this, please help if you know anything.

I'm sure you can use adsl account, fiber pricing looks like it includes the line rental.
 
anyone else having extremely slow speeds at the moment? was fine till about 5 mins ago. Now struggling to open pages, downloads dead in the water.

Restarted router but still happening. Speed is very erratic on downloads.

Thanks, will keep an eye on it, may be a local telkom issue or somehing. I see my pings are slightly higher than usual as well. Will contact crystalweb\telkom if it persists.

Also up and down this side. Pulling a game on XboxOne. Get 3mb/s then spikes to 30mb/s then back down to 5mb/s or lower. 40mb/s line. Capped.

Not the first time in the last week or two either. Not sure whats going on. Switch to another ISP provider and I get 38mb/s constant download speed. Problem is that I have a much smaller cap there.

It seems its been slowly degrading ever since this uncapped stuff started happening.

getting this from today, saw mention of it elsewhere the last 2 or 3 days - wonder what's up

It looks like CW canned the CW NNTP accounts for the premium accounts.

I got a 100GB block account from NGN yesterday and there is no issues on the NGN NNTP servers.

Might be is some issues with the agreement between CW and NGN for the premium CW NNTP accounts.

It is kind of sad lately about the lack of communication and information from CW's side.

They promised to "watch this space" with very interesting information about their products being launched, XTTH, and mobile data, yet no further info communicated via email, the NNTP servers stopped working earlier this year/late last year.

I know a few guys here contacted support regarding NNTP being down. Support said something about servers down for maintenance or some other cr*p and it should be up again in three days.

Mine is also still down that's why I got the block account.


The priority to Gaming and steaming is why I switched to CW and the network is just working for me for what I want to do.
