Difference Between Plasma & LCD

I often get told that LCD is better than Plasma but sometimes read that plasma is better. So now dat its finally time to upgrade I wanna find out which is better.........any suggestions? I"ve always been a Sony type of guy......but then get told that Sony uses Samsung old panels is that True?

Then you should go LCD.

Plasma is better when viewing SD content like television.
I got a Plasma because I never play games on it, mainly watch sport over the weekends and about 2 hours of TV during week days.

Okay so wat is actually the difference between the two(Plasma & LCD)

The main difference is how the pixels are charged or lighted up.

I made my decision based on refresh rate and the fact that I will 99% of the time be watching SD content.

If you care about the environment... go for LCD. They use much less energy and dont require the potent green house gas nitrogen trifluoride during production (plasma screens do).

What about LED? I heard they quite good and the best when it comes to energy efficiency
