Evetech disaster. Don't ever buy from them.

Thanks, that's good to know, I've never used Wootware and Rebeltech before purely because their prices appear to be hugely inflated, but I may consider them if I want to buy dodgy stuff that is reputed to break often.

Hmm. Back this up. I think you are just a dodge Evetech limb.

:wtf:

My own experience with Evetech left much to be desired

I bought a Ryzen 5 (Mb/CPU/RAM) bundle from Evetech two weeks ago along with a few other things, get home and I can't get the system to boot so then it's off to their office in Centurion for some service where I learn a few things:
1. The MB and CPU sold as bundle won't work without a BIOS upgrade, something you can't do at home without another older CPU
2. Despite the bundle depicting two sticks of RAM I was only sold a single stick
3. Their service is not bad considering as I has to return some opened and unopened stuff, all handled without a fuss
4. My order included various "free" item such as a mouse pad and anti virus - both were never delivered even after I asked when I visited them

The entire process was very frustrating and time consuming - would not recommend

Ryzen performance is very much influence by ram speed and to further reduce that to single channel operation is a :wtf:

Whelp, I was going to use Evetech to build a new computer, but seems that's a no :p

Wootware it is then!

I'm about to get my order from Evetech on some barebones setup and they were the cheapest around when I checked last time (kept a price comparison on Excel comparing their prices to Raru and Wootware). Hopefully things goes well with my order but I will remain a bit sceptical until I've actually tested all the components I will be receiving them. Will try to let you guys know as soon as this happens.

Why are you spamming this in all the Evetech threads.

Not biggest fan after they took ages to send my order in December, but ordered 2 ssd's
Ordered Saturday, displaced Monday, received Tuesday

I've seen some big price increases on tech within the last week or so. The MSI 1070ti has jumped by about R1,000 at Wootware from my list kept from last month's prices to R8,099 from R6,999 on 27 October.

Hi. It seems to be the best value 1070 TI in the market and for now it does look like Evetech is a bit cheaper than others but not by much. The one that I am really hoping to buy by December is the EVGA 1070 TI GPU but for now that is also in the more than R10, 000 range everywhere.

Why? Because it runs at 100MHz higher clocks etc?
