I'm glad it's going nicely for you. Of course we will have to see once everyone is active how the congestion is like

I was wondering now that you got me thinking whats the contention ratio of metrofibre because im sure the complex i live in has alot ppl who have fibre and now whole of southcrest, or how does it work

Soon bro, My job literally needs fast internet so the wait has been quite rough.

Mine was delivered on Monday. It's so nice. Last light I downloaded a 8gig software update for my mac in 11 minutes!

That’s great, what package did you go with?

When I got my router on Wednesday, I thought I may as well update my XBOX etc as I have data expiring on my Telkom LTE sim. A 3.8gb update took 4.5 hours.

Hi

I'm on the 100 / 100 package. I haven't seen my download speed drop lower 90Mbs

currently with metrofibre for couple months before i can change to another isp so will sign up with home connect or firestream but still doing research for better isp

I would steer clear of Firestream, because I'm still having hassles with Vumatel demanding money for the installtion of the infrastructure when the contract with Firestream stipulated "Once off Installation of Vumatel Fibre Infrastructure and activation feee for R999.00"

I see MWEB were doing their rounds yesterday.
Anybody switching?

update,

I'm Extremely happy with my ISP Initio, and our speeds are always 95+ mbps

Heres a speedtest.

Ping: 2ms
Download: 96.93Mbps
Upload: 97.18Mbps

I’m in the same boat.
Very happy with Initio.

Hi guys anyone with firestream?
i got told by friend mine he does not have any issues with them. currently with metrofibre paying R455 5mbps but firestream has 10mbsp for R589.

Stay clear of Home Connect, I am with them at the moment and I have packet loss daily and get less than 10mb speed for a 50/50 line.

Either that or the metro fibre network is now congested in South Crest.
