Any other costs? Once off, etc.?

DJ already said that it's not on the website yet and that he'll offer the service in the meantime anyway.
A Telkom techie came over to my house this morning and looked around. I wasn't around, but apparently he pointed out the easiest access point (over the back wall with the existing Telkom cable) and then left.
I really hope this means installation might happen next week.
That's good news - in terms of stages, how long did each stage take, from time of application, to receiving of the Telkom Order number, to them coming out to you?
Well I'm not going to count my chickens just yet. No one has come over to do any installing yet.
I applied on Tuesday afternoon through ISPAfrika, they gave me an order number an hour or so later and a guy came over to scout early this morning.
Mmm... I applied mid day yesterday and have yet to receive the Telkom Order number.
Have you paid yet? I used debit order.
I got a reply:
I had to manually submit your application form as their portal deems your address unfeasible. They have said there is inconsistencies to the update of the database. So I did not get an automated order number. I will ask them for one and pass it on to you.
The joys...
Have you checked your house in the Telkom coverage map? There are loads of houses in Mill Park that aren't dark purple yet.
Yeah, my section hasn't turned dark purple yet - I suspect though, that updates haven't occurred from Telkoms side.
Nice one - let's hope for the best. I'm still awaiting my order number.![]()
My line is still dead. Getting quite annoyed about this. Someone should have called to explain the downtime and to let me know how long it would go on for.
I phoned Telkom and they have no knowledge of any FTTH installation for my address, although they did say it is probably because I didn't order the installation directly from them. And again I drove around the block looking for sign of an installation crew and saw nothing.
Hopefully ISPAfrika can give me the contact details for the people doing the installation. Waiting for them to email back.
That sucks. I'm still awaiting a reply from Garth too.
Already finished my correspondence with Garth. Seems that I should report a fault. Phoning Telkom now...
