Looks like I can't much for Plasma's. Sorry man. LED's especially the 3D ones and home theatres seem to be my forte.

My honest opinion is that those prices are not great.

Just a few off the list.

The PS42C430 can actually be bought for R5799 from Cats.
The PS50C430 is about R8999 from most places.

I would rather pay that little extra and get a new one, with a full warranty.

I can't get much for plasmas, so if you want to pay extra for a full warranty go for it :)

Some of your prices are great (as expected) but yeah, some are not brillaint, but that was also expected.

I wish I could get that 63" lol.

I looked at one when I ws buying my 50" and it came in at 56K.

Prices sure have come down.

I am taking this POS back tmrw, can't stand this buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz in my head anymore. Its bs.

Anyone know if Cats Digital give refunds? Whats the bet they don't.

They might have a 7 day return policy. At worst, a handling fee?

Holding thumbs.

Is there no way to reduce it though? Think twice before taking a knock by paying a penalty...

I will probably just get it swapped for another one. I am sure I am just unlucky.

I'm quite surprised you even have a buzz, I don't hear anything from mine.

Yeah and thats why its driving me nuts, most people say that they physically need to go right up and put their ear on the tv to hear anything.

Mine is not the case. I am sitting about 3 - 3.5 meters away and I can very clearly hear it. It is really noticeable when you switch the TV off and all of a sudden there is silence. Thats when you realise how annoyingly loud it is.

Obviously in loud TV scenes it is hard to hear it, but normal speech I can hear it clearly. *bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*

I just hope that a a replacement unit doesn't do the same thing.

Edit: BTW is it ok to transport it lying down? Assuming obviously that it is in the original packaging.

Yeah, just get it swapped out. According to Samsung's policy, excessive buzzing is unacceptable, so just don't take crap from Cats, they are allowed to send it back to Samsung. Hell, I once sent a R30K Samsung back after a week because I just found the picture quality in my environment unacceptable ... and I didn't even replace it with another Samsung, so it was basically a refund.

.... and no, I wouldn't advise transporting it lying down.

Thats the thing in this day and age we tend to just accept sub standard products. They best not give me any hassles. Ive only had the dam thing for 3 days :(

Let's hope it's not a case of sea level vs altitude. You said you have tinitis? I'm guessing a slight lack of hearing? Maybe Grim has the opposite. :D

GL with swap Grim. Just don't go for LCD please lol.
