To agree with WillySA, I'm experiencing the same problem. Steam used to work 100%. Tonight it's just stuck on the Updating Screen.

Testing downloads from fileserve.com and that also does not work. It can resolve the link and file size but does not download.

Torrents still download well. 80kB plus on 1mb line. But clearly something has changed with regards to completely stopping/blocking the other two mentioned services.

MWEB Guy, please sort this mess out and be honest with your customers. Please indicate as well if this is due to your planned network upgrade and that everything will be sorted after this upgrade?

Evening Stoner, we are aware of these issues and we hope that the network upgrades due the end of this week; assists in its resolution.

Yeah BFBC2 no connection again, Steam no connection again.

You have till tommorow night to sort this crap out.

My Black ops is disconnecting today. I have ngl match tonight and have to disconnect. We are playing a top clan so if we disconnect I will rage on this forums. Why you only telling us that network is upgraded end of this week now.

We had problems for weeks and now you tell us this. Why didn't you fixed it sooner. FFS
 
I have downgraded from 4 to 1 meg uncapped. I have not noticed any difference yet. I could have downgraded to 512 and still not notice any difference. I am saving almost R500 a month though so I am happy.
 
My internet is back on, finally! It turned out the exchange was down for me! It 4 days though to fix

Good grief am I thankful that I opted for a trial account before commiting to MWeb. So far, it's been pretty damn pathetic. If I've done over 20GB in the 5 days or whatever I've had this account, on my 8MB line, I'd be ridiculously surprised. Oh, and shaping? Yeah, I'm sure shaping results in a pretty damn constant 60KB/s on certain protocols.
 
Ja we played bad in clannie due to steam disconnecting and LAG thanks MWEB for effing up our NGL match.
 
And my friend is resigning from black ops cause he can't connect to steam and for some reason lost his black ops game

Facebook is particularly slow at the moment. And I keep getting timeouts from Steam (seems I'm not a lone) and Youtube buffering issues.

I have the same problems with facebook, not fast at all..... also the downloading part does not work but that is not new news at all...

Don't worry guys we hear the complaints but remember the Network is fine. There is no issue just all of our lines.

Every issue they blame on Telkom what a bunch of idiots. Soz for saying thta but you gave me no choice. I think a lot of people are gettign fed up with this bs. So please don't tell me there was no issue all along. Check what happened. I remember last time I had issues a few days later the whole network colapsed so Mweb musn't come with there "there is no issues with the network at all" bs. Just check it properly next time.

FFS FFS FFS. And also don't tell me my configuration is wrong I'm not a total moron

But what would be a good alternative for MWEB's 4gig uncapped account @ R539.00
