That's much better!

The Kia Picanto has officially klapped more Maseratis than my GTI.

Pulled away at the lights and the idiot stalled next to me. I laughed my ass off.

no no no no... hehe he was gunning it... i must say that monster sounds monstrous....

ooh... i need to ask a question, talking about gunning it...

so when you do... umm, pull away a bit quicker than normal.... erm.... how the fukk, excuse my french, do you hang on to the clutch-side handle when the torque wants to rip you arms off, but you haven't let go of the clutch completely yet...???? is this where the shorty clutches come in that you can control with 2 fingers, while still hanging on with the other 2?

Yeh I know, such a n00b-that-comes-from-a-scooter-question question.

The handle bars are there for control not for holding onto.

You should be holding the bike with your legs and abs.

Shorty levers have never made sense to me. They are just more work for what looks no different to me.

I've got abs.... Abs..solutely nothing

LOL, I'll give it a try and see if I can hold on to my machine, like a rodeo rider on a hondsdolheid bull.
Takes some practise so don't overdo it but just be conscious of it over time.

But basically you shouldn't be hanging onto the bars for dear life and only use them for steering input.

Essentially if you can flap your elbows like a chicken then you are doing alright.

Even at full acceleration?

You fit a quick shifter like i did .
The upright position you must hold on some times because the accelerator is a bit snatchey on the MT09s

Yes, my bike came with a quick shifter. Works great!

Problem is still that pull away!

Yes looked at your pics there is one there , i hang on like mad even with my legs grabbing the bike .
Use two fingers for clutch and brake always .
