Was hard finding a decent video to illustrate.
 
This is a **** design. The gear lever at the back. Every time I put the kick
Stand down my jeans hook and I battle for a moment to unhook.

Never had a bike with the back part like that , i would cut the thing off.
I have had 18 bikes all makes .

Heel shifters are a godsend if you a foot related medical issues and don't want to switch to an automatic gearbox. It allowed me to keep riding my bike a few years back.
 
The old Enfields have a heel control like that but it has a specific purpose: neutral switch. Oh how I wish my 90s Ducati had such a thing, I only try for N when I'm parking it in my garage - other than that it's clutch in and hold on. Cannot find it on purpose for love nor money, accidentally between 2 & 3? Every other time :-/

Sounds like he is going to injure himself one of these days with that thing hooking on his denims .

Reason for older bikes to have that, was that the gears wasn't as smooth as today's bikes. On some older bikes it was a bit hard on the foot changing gears, so kicking the back made it less of an issue.
I had this on previous bikes, but I actually just used it on the one bike, when my foot got hurt.
 
Yesterday I discovered that my bike has self-cancelling indicators. Think it works off the lean-angle sensor. Indicate, lean over, and when leaning back it switches off.

Mostly pointless but also cool.
 
Bought myself a knock-off GoPro... for the fun of it... took this first video this morning.... not bad for R999... pity it doesn't have image stabilisation.

No it's an algorithm of distance plus time.

Default is 20 seconds and/or 300m on most of them.

Works well on off ramps but that's about it. Anywhere else it stays on too long.

It's not really self cancelling but rather "I forgot to turn it off myself" indicators.

Mostly useless.
 
Had something done to my car yesterday, owner of the garage had a Superduke standing there.... If I'm struggling to hold on to my MT09, I have NFI how he holds on to that monster!
