Sauron! Still got the Buell, or is that long gone?

I'm in Jozi, do the Fourways to Midrand trek in the morning, so a bike is key for me :D

Nah dude, smashed it against a Mazda 3 and then had bom skok for a year and bought a fast car.

Then bought a Triumph Street Triple R and that tried to kill itself after 32000km.

Rode a Triumph Thruxton for 3000km while they sorted that out and almost succumbed to the ways of the hipster to buy a BMW RnineT but ended up on an R1200RS instead.

You arent Scientology Urban are you?

Decent collection of bikes bud, good job. How's the R1200RS treating you? I love that thing, gives me the goosies.

Best bike I've ever owned and already 10000km on the clock.

Not the most fun necessarily, the Buell still wins there but the best all round do everything bike.

Awesome stuff bru.

Could always get a Harley too I guess.

So I'm hoping to upgrade this year (mainly depending on finances in the next few months) and think a used Honda NC700X or NC750X would be the best fits for my needs. I'm mainly use my bike for commuting to work but would like to take the odd road trip this year.

Have a few questions though if anyone in the know would be so kind:
1. What's a reasonable mileage to look out for?
2. What sort of price range should I be budgeting for (taking mileage question into account)?
3. Any reason to opt for the 750 instead of the 700 if I'm mainly using the bike for commuting and not really into speed/performance?
4. Best place to start hunting for a bike?

Would appreciate any and all feedback.

From what I remember during my investigations is that the 2016 model (750XD) has some upgrade parts... apparently better breaking system and suspension, clocks and functionality there have been upgraded, 3 different Sport modes as opposed to one, Looks a lot better IMO... but I'm not sure what advantages the upgraded engine size brings to the party (power wise)

A bit more torque and power, offset by longer gearing.

If I already have a car license do I have to do it again or just the motorbike part?
Whole learners again. I can't remember which book I used (Think it's yellow). I also downloaded a k53 app from play store to practice questions.
